Screw that, I found something much better. It may be the most narcotically addictive game ever. It's like Indiana Jones knocked up Princess Peach. The result? A game full of trinkets that trigger boulders, a game where a rock is your most valuable tool, a game where you are free to mistreat your love interest as much as you want.
I am talking, of course, about Spelunky. A word of advice: Do not piss off the shopkeeper unless you are looking for the most hardcore gaming challenge in your life. |
That looks pretty cool, and it's coming to XBox Live. Sweet, dogg.
|
I bought Limbo. I'm currently not very far in, just got into the industrial areas. Such a fun game. I'm hoping it doesn't end too soon.
I'm not sure if I like Limbo or Braid more; they're both so fantastic, innovative and unique. |
I barely got to play some Costume Quest earlier, Ill probably end up getting it. OANST, how many costumes are there? And how long is it?
|
It's somewhere between 5 and 8 hours long, depending on how fast you run through it. There are 11 costumes that you can switch between, but one of them can't be used in combat. Most of the costumes have special abilities outside of combat, as well as in.
I beat it last night, and I loved the whole thing. Hopefully, we will get some dlc for it in the future. |
When I run into Gamestop to sell my PSP Ill pick up a points card to get Costume Quest. In the mean time, the Crysis 2 beta is damn fun. The movement is so good, you can jump pretty much anywhere on the map, and your guy will grabs ledges and junk. I also like how they implemented the suit, You have a supply of energy, activating armo takes up some, activating cloak takes some, and running and jumping take up some. At first this sounds really limiting, but there is enough and it recharges fast enough so you can do a bunch of stuff without losing power, but you still have to be tactical about it. The game flows really well, and has the most amount of detail Ive seen in a 360 game. Ill probably pick this up whenever it comes out.
|
I thought Crysis 2 was only coming out for PC...?
|
Nope, 360 and PS3 too.
|
Shit! It looks beast as fuck, I saw the multiplayer map editor too. It's so much more advanced compared to FarCry's.
|
Almost beaten Limbo. Enjoying the hell out of it.
|
Yeah. Limbo's great. Much like Braid, there are secret bubbles hidden throughout the game. Good luck finding them. Some of them are ridiculously hard to get.
|
Yeah. I've only found two so far, and one of them was 'cause I watched a video of the demo level and the guy found it.
|
I just bought Pixeljunk Shooter.
I love the dynamic fluids. They're so free and, at fear of being redundant, dynamic. It plays solidly, secrets are plentyfull and there are online leaderboards for time/stuff found/score: I love it. |
:
I have 110%. I know where the last one is, but it's just stupid hard to get. |
I love when there are super secret stuff in games.
|
I finished Psychonauts today. I was level 75 and only missed the guy who exploded the squirrels with the foil hat's on brain. Which I was quite annoyed about because He is awesome.
I have to say, Psychonauts rocked my socks off with how clever and funny, let alone fun, it was. Sure the Meat Circus sucked, but that hardly messed with my enjoyment of the game. |
Psychonauts is awesome. I never beat it, though. I only got to the level with the paintings. Milkman and Napoleon were probably my favorites. I really gotta finish it.
Just beat Banjo-Kazooie for the billionth time, such a rewarding experience. Moving on to Tooie now, which is probably my favorite game. |
I'm playing the original Fallout. It's pretty fun so far, I'm going on a killing spree around the wastelands. I'm going to create another character soon though, so I can actually play through the main quest.

But yes, good game indeed. EDIT: Just played Peggle Deluxe Demo. THIS IS THE SINGLE GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT OF MANKIND TO DATE. The 'Ode to Joy' has me grinning ear to ear every time. I knew people obsessed over this game and joked about taking it too seriously, but I didn't realise that was because it didn't take itself seriously. MULTI-BALL! Unfortunately, I don't think I really want the entire game. The demo was enough. In other news, still playing Spelunky. Much like Black & White, it's a lot easier to play if you start being evil and sacrificing people. |

People who use shields to deflect the knives are sissies. You should just jump out of the way.

Where does the extra percent come from?
|
If you keep doing the minigame in Coach Oleander's mind it will give you a rank. Combined with everything else in the game this puts you at 101.
|
I think Heroes was right. Some people are born with powers. Sure, in the real world they aren't quite as magnificent as flight, but still.
I think we've discovered OANST's. The ability to complete games. He can complete them so hard that conventional mathematics is unable to represent it with a sensible figure. It's the gaming equivalent of dividing by zero, and OANST can do it. Let's hope that he will use this power for good instead of evil. But there's not much chance of that. |
Shame he never got round to my favourite world in Banjo Tooie.
|
I'm still in awe of Xavier getting 100% on Bayonetta.

Hailfire Peaks. Definitely Hailfire Peaks.
|
Yeah. Never made it to that one.
The story of me and Banjo Tooie goes thus: While I was at work, Abbey played the game and got a bunch of jiggies, leaving me very confused as to what was done, and what I still needed to do. So, I just stopped playing it. I have 100% on both Banjo Kazooie, and Nuts 'N' Bolts, though. |
I highly, highly recommend playing through it again. It's one of the best platformers.
|
I might get around to it.
|
You could just borrow my Live account, as I have it. My Xbox is assbuttfucked, so first dibs.
|
I own it on the 360. I just haven't gotten around to starting it over.
|
I've been playing some RDR - Undead Nightmare and Costume Quest and I'm loving them both. The Undead Nightmare's campaign is fun, but the multiplayer mode, Undead Overrun, is pretty damn difficult.
Costume Quest is lots of fun, I just got to Autumn Haven Mall and got the Space warrior costume. I still prefer the robot costume over any of my new costumes. |
I prefer the Space Warrior over the Robot. Of course, the Pumpkin Man is the baddest ass of all.
|
As predicted I'm playing the shit out of Fallout: New Vegas. Making a run on regular mode right now and after I complete I'll take on Hardcore mode. Should be good fun.

The most useless costume I have is probably the knight one. |
The Knight is good for defense.
