Oh

Crashpunk 03-12-2016 03:21 PM

Thanks for the reminders.

I still NEED to play Metal Gear Rising.

Vlam 03-12-2016 03:39 PM

Back on topic: AEHD.

FennecFyre 03-12-2016 04:13 PM

It gon b gud.

At least I hope so anyway.

STM 03-12-2016 05:28 PM

I really hope we see a little new content in AEHD, there must be cut content that Lorne wanted to add, but that was too complicated or otherwise was restrained by the technical limitations of the PS1. Let's see some of OWI's ideas applied to AEHD; things that might enhance the game that are now much easier to pull off.

Will you stop trolling?

Varrok 03-13-2016 01:30 AM

Last time Lorne added whatever he thought should be added to his Abe game, we got NnT.

I'll pass.

STM 03-13-2016 03:12 AM

Oh fuck off Varrok, you know that's not true.

Nepsotic 03-13-2016 03:12 AM

I actually thought Alf's Escape was pretty good, but AE is way too long as it is.

Varrok 03-13-2016 03:13 AM

Wait, wait, wait.... what's not true about it?

You know I was actually underwhelmed with Alf's Escape a bit when I finally got around to playing it. It seemed like a cool concept that could have been taken advantage of better.

Also, whatever problems I have with NnT, I think, were exemplified since I didn't have the original design to fall back on. One small example (that Ican remember) is that large rotatory saw fell flat for me. I think a large part of that fell down to sound design. Very little tension.

Nepsotic 03-13-2016 05:36 AM

We're all very aware that the sound design of that game was far below par.

Holy Sock 03-13-2016 05:38 AM

Quiet Nep. I'm expressing my wonderful opinions. Enough of your disgusting put downs!

Scrabaniac 03-13-2016 07:31 AM

Mudombies were cut.. I would like to see them, but it's unlikely.

Varrok 03-13-2016 07:32 AM

We do need more zombies in games, after all

Alf Shall Rise 03-13-2016 08:29 AM

How about a telltale zombie Oddworld game. The Walking Mud.

If Telltale ever touches Oddworld I am out.

Crashpunk 03-13-2016 09:22 AM

The idea of Mudombies were neat and perhaps could of worked.

But people; including myself, are just so sick to death with the over-saturation of Zombies.

Vlam 03-13-2016 09:23 AM

I'm getting sick of fanfiction.

Scrabaniac 03-13-2016 09:25 AM

I imagine they would have worked in a different way than the stereotypical zombies.. They could have followed you.. but very slowly and unresponsive to GameSpeak. That would have been neat.

Varrok 03-13-2016 09:27 AM

That sounds kind of annoying, gameplay-wise

Scrabaniac 03-13-2016 09:28 AM

Fleeches were annoying too.. Gameplay wise as well

Varrok 03-13-2016 09:30 AM

I don't know, I thought they were a kind of neat mechanics

Crashpunk 03-13-2016 09:30 AM

You probably aren't too far off for what they had in mind.

:

Being undead Mudokons, Mudombies would shamble around the area. Abe would have to guide these undead Mudokons back to their graves in order to fulfill certain puzzle requirements.

Nepsotic 03-13-2016 09:32 AM

They have stupid names though. Mud-dead would work so much better and that took me like two seconds to think of.

Scrabaniac 03-13-2016 09:32 AM

That to me sounds interesting. I would't mind playing that. It changes up the gameplay a bit.

Vlam 03-13-2016 09:39 AM

Scrabaniac, do you still play games behind cereal boxes? Lot of fun.

Scrabaniac 03-13-2016 09:41 AM

Vlam, Do you still realise this is a suggestion thread? Stop being an imagination Nazi.

Vlam 03-13-2016 09:44 AM

Scrabaniac, you're the one writing fanfiction all the time on this thread.
