Mr. Bungle 11-17-2012 05:14 PM

Yeah, I can't see myself going back to it. I'd rather play Diablo 2 any day. They just did everything right with that one.

Phylum 11-17-2012 07:50 PM

Have you tried Torchlight 2? Because that game is fucking great.

It has certain drawbacks, but it's really fun.

Mr. Bungle 11-17-2012 08:23 PM

No, but I've heard good things. Like that it's a Diablo clone, which if done right can be fucking awesome. I also heard that some of the Diablo/Diablo II team worked on it.
I played the demo for the first one and it seemed pretty good. I'll give it a shot next time Steam puts it on sale.

Varrok 11-18-2012 12:01 AM

Yes, that's right. The developer studio, Runic Games, was created by former Blizzard members

Vyrien 11-18-2012 03:32 AM

Sounds great, I have been considering getting Torchlight 2 for a while. If it's got the approval of you guys then I'm definitely grabbing it. Especially now I know that Runic is composed of Blizzard members.

MeechMunchie 11-18-2012 04:16 AM

At this point I'm obligated to mention Titan Quest, which is reeeaaally good.

mr.odd 11-18-2012 12:46 PM

This game looks sick!

Nepsotic 11-18-2012 01:20 PM

That game had better be good otherwise they got me all worked up for nothing.
It will be good.

Vyrien 11-18-2012 02:17 PM

I love how they went back to the design of the original alien, with the skull visible inside the semi-transparent head.

Man I can't wait for this game.

MeechMunchie 11-19-2012 08:47 AM

wat

Varrok 11-19-2012 08:52 AM

Some developers just want to see things burn

OANST 11-19-2012 08:59 AM

Oh, Varrok. No, sweetheart. Just no.

Varrok 11-19-2012 09:01 AM

I'm actually sorry for that... weird

Ontopic: How do you get money for burning old things?

Vyrien 11-19-2012 09:19 AM

It reminds me of Salad Fingers.

Nate 11-19-2012 04:31 PM

A couple of the guys who worked on Little Inferno also worked on World of Goo. I had no frigging idea what the game was, but I pre-ordered it anyway.

Haven't played it yet, mind you. But I will when I have the time.

mr.odd 11-20-2012 12:44 PM

So... You burn things? That's it? Seems kind of boring. Can you even lose?

MeechMunchie 11-20-2012 11:02 PM

So you pile up goo? That's a bit boring.

I assume it's more fun to play.

Nate 11-21-2012 03:57 AM

Having played Little Inferno for an hour, I still don't know what the hell it is. But I sure as hell want to play more.

Crashpunk 11-21-2012 05:21 AM

Mirror's Edge 2 is in production at DICE

Fantastic.

Dynamithix 11-21-2012 05:23 AM

Good to hear, there hasn't been any news of it for about two years.

OANST 11-21-2012 06:21 AM

Why?

Varrok 11-21-2012 07:51 AM

I assume CP likes Mirror's Edge, and that is why he's excited about the sequel

OANST 11-21-2012 07:55 AM

Why?

Varrok 11-21-2012 07:59 AM

Because, despite it being an EA game, I have to admit it has some fun elements.

Vyrien 11-21-2012 08:10 AM

It's fun if you just appreciate the freerunning and totally ignore the story.

And the bloom. Oh god the bloom.

Varrok 11-21-2012 08:20 AM

I played it on a weak notebook, with all effects disabled, and I skipped most of the story. So I guess you might be right.

OANST 11-21-2012 08:20 AM

Why?

Varrok 11-21-2012 08:23 AM

Because you must love being negrepped by Nate D:

MeechMunchie 11-21-2012 09:52 AM

Mirror's Edge was fantastic and I'll pound anyone who says otherwise with my bony little fists.

Wings of Fire 11-21-2012 09:54 AM

I liked the bit where the baddie said 'You can't live your life on the edge. Sometimes you just have to jump!' and the bottom of his helicopter becomes grabbable. That was cute.

Other than that, I didn't like the game one bit.
