Sorry to double post, but Tenacious D, Sons Of Butcher, and Robin Beanland are some of my favorites as well.

System of a down are Metal, my favorites by them are Stupid MF, Chopsuey, Bring the Pain, Pizza, and Bounce.

Most of those aren't the real song names. Try actually buying some of their albums instead of downloading.

Ba-ziiing.

They're actually called Stealing Society (probably), Chop Suey!, (what the **** is bring the pain?) Chic 'N' Stew, and that last one was right.

There, now you can download them properly.

Anyone here like Anal Cunt? I can't bring myself to buy anything from them, but their lyrics are satisfying.

Hobo 07-12-2007 06:05 AM

TD's Second album was fairly poor i thought, Beelzeboss was almost better than some of the stuff on their first album though.

No, i don't know where that thought came from either

Mac Sirloin 07-12-2007 10:49 AM

I am sorry, I feel like a dink for saying the SOD names improperly.
I shall buy an album shortly.
I assume none of you have heard of the Arrogant worms or Sons Of Butcher, ah well.

Edit: "Stupid MF was found by downloading it from a video on google, so you have to exucse me for that, Chop Suey! is listed as Chopsuey on my MP3 player, whcih I had as I typed that post, I don't know why. Pizza was what I remember a friend calling it, I lost the song a little while ago as well.

toxicity 07-13-2007 11:25 AM

A little while ago I heard the SoaD song "Vicinity of Obscenity."
Awesome.

Wrong. The Pick of Destiny was amazing. Not as funny as their debut, but it made up for it by being far better musically.

...Pink Floyd is great, Especially The Wall movie soundtrack ...

did you say soundtrack?

Anyway, i would love to see orion played live... despite of how i dislike metallica

OANST 07-15-2007 04:24 PM

Hahahahahahahahahah
HAHAHAhahahahahahahahaha
HAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahahahaha
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

He called it a soundtrack.

SeaRex 07-15-2007 08:33 PM

I believe that Kastere has most of the names right, he just doesn't have the right band. "Stupid MF" and "Bring the Pain" are both songs by Mindless Self Indulgence... which is a shitty, shitty electro-goth-whatever band.

...

Whom I actually kind of like, although I'm embarrassed to admit it. Hence the knowledge of the song titles.

"Shut Me Up" and "Faggot" are better MSI songs.

I have this same shameful fetish, though I totally forgot about the band until you mentioned them just now.

Shut Me Up, Faggot, Masterbates and Backmask are the ones I remember liking.

Salamander 07-16-2007 01:37 AM

I'm quite enjoying Misery Business by Paramore ATM.

Leto 07-16-2007 02:03 AM

I can't stress how much I love Sigur Ros. It may have been in this thread or the last where I talked to Fez about them, but my god they are amazing.

Yayayay erection.

Arxryl 07-16-2007 09:40 AM

I just went to a local concert and the band "Rough Draft" performed there. It was pretty awesome.

Mojo 07-17-2007 01:15 AM

Still very much into Breaking Benjamin. Their latest album Phobia is AWESOME.

Mac Sirloin 07-17-2007 03:14 PM

I swear to Christ thats what I remember it as, "Pink Floyd The Wall The Movie The Soundtrack" or something not dissimiliar.

I am aware it is not REALLY a soundtrack, but I do know I prefer the Version Of The Wall that was made with the songs used in the film itself, however insignificant the differences are.

Mindless self indulgence isn't that bad, they are ridculous in lyrical stature, and are thus audibly pleasant.

I can't find any bukcethead albums! NO music carriers have them....

Shouldn't it be the opposite? That they have amusing lyrics but are audibley unpleasant?

Omg, I am sew into bliphop rite thurr. Mainly like Apparat.

OANST 07-22-2007 08:39 PM

I think I failed to mention that I've been listening to The Shins a lot lately.

Mac Sirloin 07-23-2007 08:56 AM

Naw, I like it when lyrics leave you questioning your existence.
I also think its funny that a friend of mine calls their lead singer "The Opera Guy?" always with a questioning inflection.

Really? I think their lyrics are good because he says "nigger" a lot.

Heh.

Mac Sirloin 07-25-2007 10:18 AM

Meh, that kinda bugs me, be cause I am like? "Is he black? No, does'nt sound like it...but could be. I wonder if he is?" (referring to the lead singer.)

Yup, excellent thought process right thar.

OANST 07-29-2007 02:47 PM

Quoted for truth

SeaRex 07-30-2007 01:57 PM

He's talking about my irreverent, half-way sarcastic comment about MSI.

Another tolerable MSI song: their cover/bastardization of Rush's "Tom Sawyer."

EDIT: OH SHIT! I almost forgot:

I gave the album a listen and, surprisingly, I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.
