Remind me what OT is. And Nep I prefer it at the bottom and kind of because people said not to.

OT stands for Off Topic Discussion AKA the only part of Zulag 2 that's worth a damn.

Seriously am I the only one who has no problem reading his posts? You guys are just mad because you're angry.

Daxter King 06-15-2012 02:31 PM

AT was as bad as ponies for a while on the internet, so much so that I don't think I will ever enjoy it. I see it as the physical form of the "LOL SO RANDUM XD!!!" humor, which I loathe.

I hate ponies too.

I feel the same way about ATHF.

Many shows fall under this catagory, all showing no wit, intellect or creativity, Family Guy is one such show.

Sekto Springs 06-15-2012 05:03 PM

My god, you all suck.
Except anyone who likes AT.

Wings of Fire 06-15-2012 05:08 PM

I liked that vampire song?

Sekto Springs 06-15-2012 05:16 PM

Which one? Marceline is by far the most musical character.

Wings of Fire 06-15-2012 05:18 PM

The one that OANST posted, the first one.

Is there a youtube channel with episodes up online? It looks cool.

Sekto Springs 06-15-2012 05:55 PM

Probably. Cartoon Network isn't as cool as Hasbro, they remove episodes all the time.
If you find one, it will probably be labeled by the episode tag number as opposed to the actual title to avoid litigation. The episode's image will also most likely be flipped horizontally.

A quick googling of 'watch adventure time online' seems to provide pretty much all you'll need. This show is crazy easy to find.

Also I'd like to point out that ATHF's writing is consistent, however disjointed individual episodes are.

Daxter King 06-15-2012 11:36 PM

regular show is pretty vool

Nepsotic 06-16-2012 02:23 AM

GLaDOS cums all over that show, too.

Dynamithix 06-16-2012 02:41 AM

I watched the 'The Problem With Popplers' episode of Futurama. I think it's one of the funniest episodes. The scene where Emperor Lrrr is tripping is funny as hell.

T-nex 06-16-2012 04:17 AM

Goddamnit it. This thread... Can we try and get it back on track properly, please?

I've watched a bit of Better Off Ted lately... it's pretty amusing. Though I suspect I would appreciate and understand it a lot more if I got to work for a big corp enough...

MeechMunchie 06-16-2012 07:14 AM

Just watched Indie Game: The Movie, and I really liked it. It's just interesting people doing what they do.

Edmund McMillen is charming and is clearly fairly happy with his life nowadays (especially in the commentary);
Tommy Refenes cries on launch day and falls asleep during a conversation with Edmund;
Jonathan Blow wonders if Braid might have been a little too successful, since most players get caught up in the art and gameplay, which is actually detrimental to their experience of the narrative he worked so hard on;
Phil Fish... well, if you thought he was a venomous narcissist, this film won't change that. However, he does obviously work very hard and is ocassionally very funny.

Dynamithix 06-16-2012 07:25 AM

Is there anything about Jonathan Blow's new game or is it all just about their previous work?

He sounds like such a prat.

He falls into many of the personality holes that artists tend to find for themselves. On the bright side, he's a pretty amazing artist.

Hahaha

GLaDOS 06-16-2012 10:54 AM

Clearly, seeing as I've only watched it a few times.

Maybe. Team Meat spend a minute defending him, McMillen claims he's not unpleasant, just an obsessive perfectionist.

Seriously, the Team Meat commentary is probably better than the actual film. Just endless stupidity, it had me in stitches. The running jokes make it seem more like RiffTrax or something.

Edmund: Fun fact: I actually did all the character design for Braid; then it got redone.
Tommy: ... I actually made Braid. Jon stole it off me. He's a cheap hack.

(Later)

Edmund:
I actually made Super Mario Brothers.
Tommy: Must have been something you did with Florian. [Himsl, Binding of Isaac dev]

(Much later)

Tommy: I actually made Fez. Phil Fish really is a dick.

Plus various other speculations. Phil Fish is three feet tall and stands on crates at expos; Phil Fish is really a cold-blooded hitman called "Kill Fish"; Phil Fish has no eyes; Phil Fish is Wolverine; Tommy slowly absorbed Edmund's fat tissue over SMB's development, while Edmund stole Tommy's hair; Tommy has emu feet; in-depth discussion of Tommy's semen; and various reasons why Jonathan Blow never sits down, even when asleep.

Oh, and their 'big black lady' voices are amazing. "Oh, no, Phil Fish, you did not just consider suicide!" "Oh yeeah he did!"

Hahaha

Maybe watch the film! Challenge your current perceptions! Experience! Live! etc. etc.

STM 06-17-2012 03:17 AM

I'll be honest, I don't expect anyone my age to remember this, but do any of the older members?

Just accidently remembered this, in fact I'm pretty sure I remember that episode. XD

The Herbs.

OddjobAbe 06-18-2012 08:11 AM

Holy shit. I totally forgot about that. I got them on video cassette and gave them to my nephew.

STM 06-19-2012 10:57 AM

I loved the hell out of those videos.

Mr. Bungle 06-19-2012 11:31 AM

Wait a minute. Is Scraptrapman OddjobAbe's long lost nephew?

Also, I've been watching the fourth season of the Simpsons over the past few days. It's probably my favourite of the classic era, all the stories are really well done and full of emotion (or in some of them just humor) and the animation is top-notch. It's right around the time they really hit their stride in great episodes.

Varrok 06-19-2012 12:39 PM

I'm past the second season and can say pretty much the same so far

Dynamithix 06-19-2012 01:47 PM

I have been watching Futurama a lot lately. Futurama is good.

Nepsotic 06-19-2012 01:56 PM

It's better than the late Simpsons.

Wings of Fire 06-19-2012 01:58 PM

I like Futurama, but it's horrendously overrated.

Can't praise the second to seventh series of Simpsons enough though. It's what I grew up on.

OANST 06-19-2012 01:59 PM

Futurama is only overrated when Farnsworth isn't in the room.

Wings of Fire 06-19-2012 02:01 PM

And it becomes far far more overrated whenever Bender or Dr Zoidberg open their mouths.

OANST 06-19-2012 02:02 PM

I can agree with that. Also, I'm not crazy about Leela.

Dynamithix 06-19-2012 02:53 PM

It's still a fun show, and I love the characters. Just finished the third season.

Laser 06-19-2012 03:49 PM

Re-watched The Tree Of Life. One of my fav films from 2011. Utterly pretentious yet beautiful to look at. Also great acting by Brad Pitt.

GLaDOS 06-20-2012 11:16 AM

Watching The Orphanage at School atm. It's creepy as hell. It wasn't bad at first but now its getting weird. we're watching it in our Spanish lessons in the Spanish language. Its quite a good film. Anyone else seen it? (Don't ruin the ending for me, I'm up to where the woman is sitting at the table eating some food with some dolls and yelling)

Dynamithix 06-20-2012 11:30 AM

I thought it was boring. It was alright though.

I keep meaning to see it. I'm told it's somewhat similar to The Devil's Backbone. Which I loved.

Nepsotic 06-20-2012 12:15 PM

It's a brilliant film. Made by the same guy who made Pan's Labyrinth.

OANST 06-20-2012 12:18 PM

The Devil's Backbone is, yes. Guillermo Del Toro didn't make The Orphanage.

Nepsotic 06-20-2012 12:22 PM

He was the producer of The Orphanage. He also did a good job with the less popular and underrated 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark'. he worked on Kung Fu Panda 2 to some degree as well.
