Tried the Comic Jumper demo. It was fucking awful, yes it was funny, but the gameplay sucked large amounts of arse.

I haven't tried it yet, but Captain Smiley has a fucking annoying voice.

@Hazel-Rah - You should play wind waker, en mi opinion, it's the best of the LoZ games, certainly of it's time.

I think Twilight Princess, Ocarina and Majora's Mask were better.

Also, the easiest star takes about an hour to get to.

Try two hours and thank fuck for the rewind 'cause I left the house for quite some time and the cloud fucked off, leaving me to scratch my arse trying to get it back.

That's what I've heard. Either you love the comedy and stick through the punishing, shitty game, or you don't like it and it's worthless.

The game is not bad by any stretch of the imagination. It's hard, yes. But it's not bad. If you don't like Contra or Gunstar Heroes type games then you probably won't like this, that's true. But once you figure the game out it gets a lot easier. I've been playing it a lot lately while skipping all the dialogue trying to get my score higher (I'm ranked 2 on the hardest level in the game), and I'm having more fun with it now than when I first started.

I haven't seen anything about them, yet. Can you not get them until after you collect all the puzzle pieces?

They are very, very, very, very secret. Like, insanely well hidden. So well hidden that through the normal course of playing the game there will be absolutely nothing to even hint that they exist. But they do. The hardest one is fucking insane, and probably the hardest thing that I've ever done in a video game.

Dynamithix 10-19-2010 04:54 AM

I tested the Comic Jumper demo a while ago, and I thought it was boring. It's challenging, I like that, but maybe a little too hard. The voice-acting gives me a fucking headache, the music is pretty good though. That Brad's theme was great. The humor is decent and that star thing is pretty funny. But overall, I definitely wouldn't pay 1200 MS points for it. Maybe 400, and only for the cheevos.

OANST 10-19-2010 06:46 AM

If I can complete entire levels without ever even taking damage then it isn't too hard. The game is worth the 1200 points. It's one of the best Live Arcade games that you can buy. Also, it has this:

Anyway, I bought Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and I'm glad that I decided on that over Castlevania. In some ways it reminds me of the first Jak and Daxter game, but it's also a lot more than that. The subtlety in the voice work and facial expressions is amazing, and the story was actually pretty damn compelling. I recommend it.

Dynamithix 10-20-2010 05:05 AM

I just got Red Dead Redemption and I'm about to play it right now, but the first fucking thing I noticed was that the mailman decided to screw up. For the fourth time. Oh wait, fourteenth time.

And by that I mean the case is completely cracked in the upper corner and this has been happening to eeeevery fucking album, movie or a game. That fucking mailman is a fucktard, he has broken so many fucking things that once I even opened the door and took the package from him because I knew he would've just shoved it right through without even caring what's inside. I said that he needs to be more careful with the packages and he replied "It's not my fault." NNNGGGGHHHH, FUCKTARD.

Well, this was my rant about Finnish mail services. The game seems very very good tho'.

Costume Quest and Super Meat Boy both come out today. I expect these to keep me busy for quite a long time. Super Meat Boy will probably occupy me for much longer than Costume Quest, though. I imagine that Super Meat Boy is going to earn my rage-love, much as N+ did. If only it had a level editor.

Mr. Bungle 10-20-2010 11:22 AM

I just played the demo for Limbo.

Holy shit, is that some freaky-ass shit. Gonna get the full version ASAP.

My Gamertag is shoopdawoop93(terrible username), feel free to add it. I'm not on that often, even if it says I am (I use my xbox as a CD player). I don't have live gold.

Oh, well that's pointless then. My gamertag is OANST, if you're ever feeling lonely.

I think Twilight Princess, Ocarina and Majora's Mask were better.

I just like the pirate theme of Wind Waker better, exploring dat ocean never gets old, I could live in that game.

I beat Ocarina a few times, one of the most satisfying experiences of my life, and I have the other two you mentioned but never really played them.

OANST 10-20-2010 01:54 PM

Wind Waker is by far my favorite Zelda game. You have no idea how much time I spent decorating the islands with those objects the vendors sell.

Mac Sirloin 10-20-2010 02:03 PM

Wind Waker was boss. I would play it a bajillion times over any other Zelda game (though secretly I fucking love Minish cap because I could beat it in like three hours when I was thirteen.)

Anyway I'm playing Plants vs. Zombies, just finished adventure mode. Now I must buy all of the plants from Crazy Dave

OANST 10-20-2010 02:07 PM

Partly, I think I love Wind Waker so much because I got to devote so much time to it. I had just had surgery when I bought it, and couldn't work for a couple of weeks. I literally did nothing but play Wind Waker for about a week straight.

Mr. Bungle 10-20-2010 02:12 PM

Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda game. I love all the others as well (bar Twilight Princess), but something about Majora's has always stuck with me.

OANST 10-20-2010 02:18 PM

So, are you bitches going to buy Costume Quest, or what?

YES

YOU ARE MY FAVOURITE ZELDA FAN

Strike Witch 10-20-2010 02:43 PM

Started playing Castlevania. It's a pretty tough game. Should take me quite a while to beat.

The surprise pitfalls are kinda annoying though.

So, are you bitches going to buy Costume Quest, or what?

Considering it, but I just pre-ordered Deathspank and I expect that will be taking up much of my time from next week.

Also, I still haven't gotten around to playing the last Sam & Max episode. Damn Psychonauts stealing up my time.

OANST 10-21-2010 08:19 AM

I was starting to worry that Costume Quest wasn't going to be any good. The first review for it came out about half-way through the day which isn't a good sign (it typically means that no one was given advance copies for review (which in turn usually means that the publisher doesn't have a lot of faith in the title)), and the first review was abysmal. The guy gave it a 6 out of 10, and said that he couldn't recommend the game to anyone of any age.

Then, the other reviews started coming out, and they were glowing. All of the reviews I read after the first one just absolutely adored the game. Now, I figured that the game would probably fall somewhere in the middle of that first review and the ones that came after it.

I was wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. This game is fucking amazing. It's funny, it's quirky, and it's just so much fun. This is the game that they should have followed Psychonauts with. It is pitch perfect, and I could barely stand to stop playing it to get some sleep. The moment that I walked into the camp store and heard the Psychonauts music kick in I was enraptured. Actually, it was well before that, but that was a really cool moment.

I know that I've tried to convince most of you to buy Comic Jumper, and it's true that it isn't for everybody, but people, you have got to get Costume Quest. There is almost no chance that you won't love it.

Mr. Bungle 10-21-2010 09:36 AM

What kind of game is it? It looked like an RPG similar to EarthBound when I saw pictures.

I loved Psychonauts, so this would probably be right up my alley.

OANST 10-21-2010 10:00 AM

It is an rpg similar to Earthbound.

Mr. Bungle 10-21-2010 10:04 AM

Sounds like my kind of game.

Dynamithix 10-21-2010 10:59 AM

OANST, this time I completely agree with you, I tested out the Costume Quest demo just for fun with my friend and we both found it very fun. I'm probs going to buy it next week, kinda like in a combo with RDR - Undead Nightmare.

What type of fighting system is it... a turn based system or is it real time?

OANST 10-21-2010 11:20 AM

Turn based.

I would say yes, the story is pretty interesting and the graphics are nice for it's time.

OANST 10-21-2010 11:41 AM

You should watch a Let's Play of it first.

Ain't I a stinker?

MeechMunchie 10-21-2010 11:41 AM

I did. They were all rubbish and taught me little. The demo was too short to give any significant impression.

Havoc 10-21-2010 11:57 AM

Gears of War 2 on Insane and probably Fallout: New Vegas when I get it this weekend.

Dynamithix 10-21-2010 12:04 PM

I've been playing Red Dead Redemption for the last two days and it's fucking amazing. Online with friends shooting each other as fat cowboys is great.
