I'm just saying that the plot would mess the current plot up.... But if you really wanna do this, then you should take it up with Splat and Dripik for advice and see if you can fit it in somehow.

OOC: Surprised?

IC:

Kix realized quickly that the plan to be clever and get past Dionysia was not working out as well as she would have hoped. Before she could react, Jim replied to Dionysia explaining why they were traveling. A little frightened to see the reaction by Dionysia, she waited and watched the horror.

All that was done was that Dionysia make a jerk comment how Anni should die, and left mocking them. Pure fury flowed through her as her triceps contracted while she made a fist. She was about to shout off a list of nasty words toward her, along with a few she's never said before, but Jim restrained her and relaxed her. Of course, this didn't stop her from wanting to release her rage. All she could do was make the Mudokon angry sound and mutter under her breath, "Next time blacky, you're dead."

Kix took a few moments to catch onto what was being said to her by Jim. She spun around to Jim and snapped, "Well, that doesn't mean she isn't gonna get it! Come on, let's go the garden."

Storming off in the corridors, hoping Jim would follow her, she thought about how that Dionysia girl had it coming. She had no right in saying that about Anni. In fact, most Sligs didn't even say that, even if they were annoyed! Why did she do that? What made her feel so proud, so disrespetful? More importantly, why didn't anyone complain?

In her fury, she found her way to the Stockyards. There she found a surprise. The garden did not just have one Mudokon, but a second. The first was Anni, who seemed fine. However, the second Mudokon was one she didn't recgonize at all. She seemed to be a little odd looking, almost native like. This took a shock on her, since it had been a while since she saw someone in a native uniform. She asked in puzzled manner, "Um, hello..."

At last, the truth finally waned into existance, but Kix wasn't surprised. She knew it was there the whole time, but she was too blind to see it. Everything is changing, and life is too.

IC: "D&M? That rings a bell but I can't remeber... Oh well. Well I hope-" Jerr stopped abruptly. Searching for the right words he found that there wasn't a good way to put this. "Err... Your mind gets better. I wonder why the other war... Vet... Whatever there called killed themsleves? I mean if you had that kind of rank you'd have to have some sort of famous thingy. Weird." Finished Jerr. "Either way I have to get back to work as well. So it was nice to meet you." Walking off in direction of the stairs, he decided that he'd take the lift instead seeing as that was easier. But when he got there, it seemed broken even to a slig. Deciding that it wasn't a good idea to take either he simply stayed at the floor he was at now. Walking around he found that not many people were in the corridors. Bored, he wondered where he should patrol. Scratching his back he thought about asking Slig #7 for an ideal place to guard. Not entirely wanting to work at the moment, he just wandered a little more until he ended up by the cafeteria again. Very bored he decided to work instead of wander. He wondered what he could do as work, as he stood by the cafeteria door.

Zerox 01-19-2008 03:45 AM

OOC: We still have the problem of Dripik. Should someone else take control of his characters, since we kinda need someone to employ newcomers, I presume, and run the factory?

IC: Kotez got off the train, carrying nothing but his pistol, knuckles, guard form and a bottle of Soulstorm. He took a swig to finish it off, and threw the empty bottle back into the train as the doors closed. Observing the form, containing details about himself for employment, he folded it and put it into a side pocket. He stretched his arm out and yawned, and looked around. Certainly not as shabby as where he'd been bought up and trained, that at the very least seemed a good sign. After taking a quick look at the map, he decided the cafeteria, which was usually the place where, at this time of the morning, everyone would be having breakfast and socialising. He eventually found the cafeteria and stopped dead in the doorway. Sligs, yes, but Mudokons were there too, not working, all slacking off in here. He rubbed his eyes and looked more cloesly. Some of the Sligs and Muds even seemed to be...talking to each other. His best guess was that this was the Muds cafeteria before they were sent to work, and all these Sligs had been punished and lowered to Mudokon rank. No, many of them still had weapons, and he spied the head Glukkons (or at least he thought they were) also sat at a table, eating. What was this, Mud lovers club?...perhaps they would all disperse into normal work positions later. He just stood at the door for the moment.

I didn't say I want to give my characters and position up. I just expressed my opinion on the current state of the RPG, and wondered what do you all think about it. I'm going to participate as soon as I'm done with my exams.

...Were you planning something here, Zerox? ;)

T-nex 01-19-2008 06:13 AM

OOC: One more thing to all of you: One thing that is extremely annoying when RPing is having to read a HUGE chunk of text. Please divide your posts into more Paragraphs, and spare my eyes from bleeding :fuzemb:

Huge chunks of text makes me ignore the post entirely.

Zerox 01-19-2008 07:36 AM

OOC: Not really, I just thought you'd said you were rather fed up with the RP. Do well on those exams at the very least.

K T-nex.

OOC: Is there anyone at the Laboratory? I need to know, since I can't post as Slap anymore if I don't. And nor can Venks.

IC:

:

WetSpiderWeb says:
Slap (typing): It would be wise to take precautions and allow anestestics to be at hand. It seems more likely to catch your patient and mine from knowing about their previous behavior.
Venks says:
Chris: Indeed that seems like the wise course of action, however one of us will have to administer it... we must be careful. For the patient's safety and others including ourselves.
WetSpiderWeb says:
Slap (typing): Agreed. We shall only perform such extremes only until no other way can be done.
WetSpiderWeb says:
Slap (typing): However, I believe you should be the one to administer such medince; I am unable to use a long ranged anesthetic weapon professionally. If you don't mind, of course.
Venks says:
Chris: I have the training... I can do it. Though I have yet to be properly employed, I wouldn't want to be seen carrying a weapon around.
WetSpiderWeb says:
Slap (typing): That does seem to be an obstacle. Of course, if we were to have a Slig to perform the task, no legal issues can possibly rise. So we can just receive a weapon from the Laboratory and we can be on our way.
Venks says:
Chris: That sounds most promising. You seem quite profficient at problem solving. I've never seen an Intern work longer or harder then the bare minimum before.... what drives you?
WetSpiderWeb says:
*Slap implies a smile* (typing): The thought of helping other and accomplishing something healthy in life of course. Throughout my life, I have only seen pain and experiments performed on others. I can only hope to do the opposite. Now let's get on; there are people at risk.
Venks says:
Chris: *His mind floats around with glee until Slap mentions people at risk.* You're right we have no time to waste! Let's go!

OOC: I eat babies.
IC:
Lenny clambered up Vesters armored arm, up the BigBros massive shoulder, and crawled along his friends neck, until Lenny was perched on Vesters head, like a deranged bird thing. The little pantless slig grinned at Roy, and asked, "Why you come here? Looking for a job as a worker?"
Vester blinked, and gazed at Roy, facinated by the mudokons strange, purple-toned skin. His yellow-orange eye covers clicked as he 'blinked' then the BigBro reached out towards Roy, asking, "Your skin is funny..."
----------
Cylepso skidded to a stop just outside the cafteria. She gasped, leaning over and resting her pink-nailed hands on her knees, inhaling mightly, "Damn, thats the last frigging time I run that fast!"

Gretin 01-21-2008 10:29 PM

OOC: here's a way, Gretin, if we all did it for easy reference.

CORIDOOR OUTSIDE OF CAFETERIA;

Nah, I meant more like a way of showing EVERYONE who is in a particular place at a particular time, but that's really more work than it's worth. I mean, it's still a good idea to make it clear where our characters are, but it still means searching back to see who's in a room.

IC:

Ralph stepped inside and to the side of the entrance to the cafeteria as he noticed more people coming up. He noticed the steef (Kotez) come to the doorway and look around the room, apparently with some disgust.
He'd never actually seen a steef before, but he had knowledge from... actually, he had no idea where it came from, he just somehow knew that it was called a steef. He looked straight at the newcomer and spoke casually:

"Hello."

<•-•-•-•-•>

Just as Hembar was leaving Anni, she felt something... anger... She could sense that someone was headed this way, and whoever it was was obviously not in the greatest mood right now!

She stopped walking and turned to where it was coming from. Due to her eyesight being far greater than that of a normal mudokon, she saw the two mudokons walking towards them (I'm assuming Jim followed Kix) before they were close enough to see her, but she decided to just wait.

As they approached the female mudokon who seemed to be in the lead suddenly seemed surprised as she noticed Hembar there. "Um, hello..." she said, sounding confused.

"Hi!" Hembar decided to go with the excessively friendly approach, "How you doing?"

Splat 01-22-2008 04:05 AM

Jim had to sort of run to keep up with Kix on her way out of the factory. She was stomping along rather quickly and he wasn't sure tapping her on the shoulder and saying 'sorry' would do much good.
When they'd got to Anni's garden he was somewhat out of breath, and somewhat disappointed that Anni wasn't there, until they noticed her further in the stockyards talking with some other mudokon girl. "There sure are a lot of those about," He thought as he hurried after Kix again.
While Kix's attention went to the stranger, Jim (who had been considerably more shaken by the whole thing, since he had actually ben there when Anni had leapt up and run off) went straight to her. "Anni, are you ok? What happened?"

Anni looked uncomfortable, realising her lies to Hembar were about to be exposed and not wanting to have to try and explain. "Oh, you know what it's like in there," She said, trying to sound cheerful but at the same time not cheerful, which didn't really work, "I just needed some fresh air. Well, you know, fresher air than the air inside the factory."

Jim looked concerned. "Are you sure? I mean you looked pretty-"
"It's fine; don't worry about it! Come on, I want you to show me how to work this pump in my garden!" And she started dragging him back over there.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Krik, blessedly, did not have as many tests to do as he had had last time; just a few syringes, drawing samples and testing chemicals. He did find time to have a conversation with her while he worked. "We've been working on the genetic code for the new prototype," He informed her in a low voice.
She gave a sort of disinterested shrug. She was sitting, looking the other way like a chastised child, occasionally wincing or jerking when he injected her. she had no interest in the next prototype black-skin they talked about so much; as far as she was concerned it was something that didn't affect her at all.
"Yes," Krik went on in a conversational voice, "In fact some of the scientists are saying that when its done you'll be of no use to us anymore."
"Oh, who?" She snapped angrilly.
Krik just smiled, "Oh, just a couple of the team."
She turned around to look him in the eyes, "And what'll you do to me then?" She asked coldly. She thought he was saying this to try and upset her; she didn't believe it and she was trying to back his lie into a corner. It was, afterall, what she was made for.
His smile didn't waver. "I think we'll just have to wait and see," He told her. She looked shocked, her mouth hanging open, and she lowered her head.

Zerox 01-22-2008 09:48 AM

IC: Kotez still stood there, then noticed a peculiar looking Mud walk up to him and greet him. How was it allowed to do that without a guard? Was security slack like this everywhere? No wonder Abe managed to single-handedly ruin Rupture Farms last time...he looked down at him "Shouldn't you be working right now?"
___

Sturg remained outside the lab, sat in his wheelchair. He just wished he could walk at the moment. He'd try later, but he didn't feel up to it at the moment. He overheard something inside about some dark-skin Mudokon. He wasn't interested particularly in something about the Mudokons, but... "when it's done you'll be of no use to us anymore" They were saying that about a Mudokon...what about himself? He'd entrusted these Vykkers with trying to help repopulate his presumably all but extinct species. Would they, after benefitting from him, turn on him, too? He wheeled back into the lab to see what was going on, but remained quiet. He didn't want to risk anything until he was in something of a better condition.
___

Silph just stood up and shook his head as the kid got distracted and ignored him. "Now, this is why I don't bother trying to be 'nice' to anyone" he thought to himself "'cause no one gives a s*it what I do for them..." he stomped out the cafeteria in frustration, and just hung about outside, grumbling to himself.
___

Obviously the Glukkons and co. were busy. Slash thought he better not bother them right now. He looked behind him. Though the satchel was useful for carrying stuff, it was kind of annoying, particularly how it put off his aeronautics. He needed somewhere to put it, and there didn't seem to be any lockers at the moment, he'd have to inquire about some or make some or something later. He flew to the lab, where someone usually was. He saw a Vykker (Krik) and a female Mudokon, which didn't seem too happy at the moment, probably because of worry from an operation she may be having. He felt rather sympathetic, and thought he ought to try to cheer her up a bit. He put a hand on her shoulder "I'm sure everything is going to be fine, whatever operation or whatever-it-is you're having. Don't worry, I'm sure this Vykker knows what he's doing." he lifted his head up to the Vykker "I've got this satchel of mine and a...Tomahawk I think it was? But I need somewhere safe to put them for now. Do you think you could keep an eye on them for now? It's getting annoying carrying them around."

IC

(GROUND FLOOR)
(CAFETERIA)
Agent watched Dimitrio begin bawling. Tiro and Tiny watched him, oblivious to anything else. The sensitive slig wiped his hard visors pointlessly, his eyes welling up with tears behind them. He froze. Something on the floor snuck up behind him. He whisked around to see the orangy (Infra red visors=heat vision) crawling slig figure on the floor. Agent. He cowered backwards and whimpered as she cornered him. He screamed.
"HELP SHE'S GONNA KILL ME I KNOW SHE IS!" He yowled. She swore.
"Oddamnit, I'm not gonna kill you!" She froze and looked sheepishly at the floor. She looked embarrassed and guilty alright. He narrowed his eyes and sniffled.
"You-you're sorry?" He said in disbelief. "You are not! You hate me!" He huffed and faced the cold wall. She tutted and shook her head sadly.
"...I don't, I..." She lacked the words to say. This was impossible. "...Who are you?" She winced. That question posed a big risk. He cried against the wall and slid down it.
"You - DON'T EVEN REMEMBER MY NAME!" He wailed. Guilt-stricken, shock hit her as she realised something.

"Oh no..." She whispered. Horror and guilt consumed her. How could she forget these things? She was out of the door in a flash of scurrying butchy arms.
"MR. SPRINKLES!" Even he was left staring at her charge off and out of the room.
"...Mr. Sprinkles...?" He uttered in disbelief.

Tiro stood and stared at the mess, like Tiny the huge slig was. He didn't see the machine stepping up behind him. Something yanked that blunderbuss away from his little mudokon arms. He turned to see who it was in an instant, but only saw a blur of green and glowing eyes. Just before that rifle-butt smacked him right across the face. He was knocked to the ground and still yelping pitifully as it beat him down. A bruise formed with each successive hit. It was Scarface beating him. He seethed and breathed with each smack at the mudokon, whacking him with each word.
“Don't – you – ever – take – my – gun – AGAIN!” He finished him off with another swipe that sent him sliding across the floor. He didn't know the rules here. Sure, the mudokons were up and walking around, but someone was gonna shoot them before he did right? He didn't question he had did something wrong until a huge hand yanked him off the ground. He was stuck hanging, yelling and swinging there while Tiny held him off the ground in a sort of punishment. Dimitrio was already up, comforting a crying Tiro and yelling all sorts of things at the older slig. Something about that anorexic younger slig made Scarface feel...Well, guilty. He wanted to talk to him, but with a past between the two as colourful as a rainbow, he had pretty much no chance.

(CORRIDORS)
She didn't see Cylepso coming (Or let alone looked to recognize her) and managed to ram right through her metal legs. Faintly remembering the location of the stairs, she seemed to fall up those too. Her mind was focused on one thing: Mr. Sprinkles. If she had left that object all weeping alone and someone had taken it, she would personally hunt them down, smack them in the face so hard it showed at the other side of their head and blacklist them for life. She was off the flight of stairs in less than a minute.

(FIRST FLOOR)
(CORRIDORS)
Agent already had a stitch and her hands hurt, but she wasn't going to give up if it meant she had to dodge gunfire along the corridor. Also missing her range of eyesight was an intern (Slap) and a vykker doctor (Chris:D) having a chat. She felt her sides bump against the two of them but ran on anyways, taking a swift and sudden turn through a door she remembered the location of.

(DEK'S LAB)
Once there in that medical place, she let herself rest for a moment before realizing her precious piece of sentimental value could still be in danger. She pounced onto the operating table, which for some weird reason reminded her of a bad chest pain. She wasn't in the mood to add up the words scar on her chest, stitches around it, pain and operating table. Her light silver and lighter than normal pants were there. Perfect. She felt around in the attachment to her left mechanical leg used to hold her gun. Relief swept through her when she pulled out that little stuffed pink vykker doll. Its little blue beady eyes stared back at her. She held it tightly like she would never let it go and curled up, closing her eyes and purring affectionately.
“I wub you Mr. Sprinkles. I'll never leave you again.”

OOC: Bwaha, super special robot of Arnie no see big squabble in Cafeteria, I wun.

dripik 01-22-2008 10:13 AM

OOC: Hm... It seems Slaveless has been waiting for my characters to response... We formed quite a chain here.

-----------------------------------------

"Hello #7 Slig. I was just going to see if I could get Otto to make a voice activation on a project I'm working on. I'm also curious if I could get a hold on some Spooce. Do you know where this stuff is?"

#7 Slig placed the plate on the table and scratched his head in a Sliggish manner. "Spooce? Uhh... Not exactly Industrial stuff... Can't help you with that. Why do you need it?"

"Not now, #7, I want to get this over with quickly. Let's go." Said Otto to Gappiqu.

#7 Slig shrugged, then turned to Arnie, holding a Scrab Leg for him as usual. Arnie took a few bites, then turned to the people in the Cafeteria in general. "Alright. Is there anyone here who wants to speak with me?"

Meanwhile, RG came over and stood next to Arnie's bench. He still kept scanning the Cafeteria, looking at workers in turn.

-----------------------------------------

OOC: That's all I can think of right now, but it'll bring me back on track.

Zerox 01-22-2008 11:33 AM

OOC: Yays Dripik.

IC: Silph heard the kid scream suddenly, and some yelling. He groaned, and swerved round the corner. That problem already seemed to have been dealt with, as the presumed perpetrator was now dangling in the air, and another Slig yelling at him, as well as comforting the kid. Silph himself had got no care like that, but he'd had to put up with that kind of violence. Whatever it was, was it that beating...wasn't allowed here? If it was ever allowed anywhere, that is. He then noticed the head Gluk, presumably, announce if anyone wanted to speak with him. Perhaps he better go and make a registration for a job before he got in trouble for freeloading.
He snarled at the still dangling Slig as he walked past, resisting the urge to attack in anger and perhaps vengeance of his own past and his previous aggressors, but he hadn't even got employed yet, so that could wait for another time. He walked up towards the boss (Arnie) "Hey, I just arrived. I'm looking for work. What's available?"

Splat 01-22-2008 01:15 PM

ooc: I never specified where Dion and Krik were, but now you mention it the lab's probably not an unlikely place since Slap and Chris have left it empty. (I assume they're gone by now).

IC:
Dionysia shrugged her shoulder violently, forcing the Slash's hand away. "Get off of me; of course the vykker knows what he's doing." She glared at Krik, as if the intrusion of this idiot slig was his fault.
Krik had turned away to put some things in his bag and now turned and gave a long-suffered look. "Was there something specific you wanted?" He asked the slig.

"I've got this satchel of mine and a...Tomahawk I think it was? But I need somewhere safe to put them for now. Do you think you could keep an eye on them for now? It's getting annoying carrying them around."

"What on Odd's a flying slig doing with a mudokon weapon?" He asked, slightly surprised, eying the tomahawk suspiciously, as if it might suddenly explode or something.

Krik noticed a crawling slig (Agent) haul itself up onto the operating table at the other end of the room, but assumed it was supposed to be there and gave it no other attention. He didn't pay enough attention to see its unusual gender, its even more unusual toy, or hear its slightly distrubing words.

ooc: Waiting for Gretin and Slaveless.

skillyaslig 01-22-2008 08:40 PM

Cylepso wheezed and took another deep breath, then let out a screech and almost fell over as something-or someone-zipped between her legs, and carried on down the corridor. Whatever it was, it was low and fast.
"What the hell???"
She looked around wildly, then fled into the cafeteria, saying, "Theres some wild thing running around! What the hell is in this food?"

Carnix 01-22-2008 10:36 PM

IC:
(Cafeteria)
Krett had a headache now and sat down, giving up on finding Arnie. Just then he heard someone shout out: "There's some wild thing running around! What the hell is in this food?"
'FOOD!' thought Krett 'I still need to eat some food!' He frantically started looking for food and found an abandoned scrab leg on one of the tables. Krett was scrawny so just the one was enough. He inspected it, confirmed it was still edible, then ate it hastily.
'food helps, now to find the guy who owns this place'
"Hey!" Krett shouted as loud as his tiny Mud voice could go "Does anyone here know where I might find the gluk in charge?"

dripik 01-23-2008 01:30 AM

"Hey! Does anyone here know where I might find the gluk in charge?" called a Mudokon from one of the tables. Arnie answered loudly. "Right here, come on over."

He turned back to see a newcomer (Silph). Arnie has not seen anyone like him before. After he got over the initial surprise, he spoke. "It depends. What kind of traits or skills do you have? Are you good at anything specifically?"

While listening in the conversation with one aural sensor, RG turned his head to see a commotion in front of the Cafeteria counters. A small Mudokon (Tiro) was lying on the ground, not too far from a BigBro Slig (Tiny) who was dangling a Slig (Scarface) by the arm. He also saw Rick standing at the counter, apparently dumbfounded by the proceedings in front of him.

After analyzing the situation, RG turned away. "Organic brats are a nuissance in a factory environment. They have no real labor value." He though it was unnecessary to interfere.

Rick, on the other hand, was thinking differently. He dropped his Scrab Leg and went over. He remembered the kid from earlier. From the looks of it, he was beaten rather badly. He turned to the Slig the BigBro was holding. "What's wrong with you? Beating up a kid like that?"

Carnix 01-23-2008 07:01 AM

IC:
(Cafeteria)
Krett heard a reply, turned, and spotted a glukkon (Arnie). He rushed toward him, still devouring the scrab leg.
"Hi, um, sir" Krett began to speak quickly and anxiously. "My name's Krett" He stopped speaking and snatched up the scrab leg that Rick had dropped and began to gnaw at that frantically while disposing of the other leg. He then readdressed Arnie. "I'm looking for a job as an inventor!" At this point Krett dug into his bag and retrieved a few blueprints, pointing out one in particular. "These," He said "are the blueprints for a redesign on slig pants! I believe that with the right equipment I can give sligs mechanical legs that are so like legs you'd probably not notice they're robotic! This new design will allow sligs to run jump and do things they could only watch muds do! A small device I created will even stop that awful give-away 'chink' noise!"

OOC: when I said 'began to speak quickly' I meant very quickly...

OddYouko 01-23-2008 08:22 AM

IC: "Yeah and anything will do." Roy replied to Lenny's question. Looking away from Lenny then at Vester Roy stepped back. "What? You...you think my skin is...funny?" Stepping back a little more and looking at the floor. "Well I couldn't help being born like this." Roy has been now too take things a little seriously so he wasn't to close with other Muds that make fun of him. "Well I better find a Glukkon...now." Looking back at the twosome. "Thanks for talking with me even if it wasn't very long."

-------
IC: Riding on the train to Rupture Farms Corky was finally happy to get out of Slig Barracks and nowing there would be more Mudokons to beat made him even more happy. With his Slog Phats at his side snarling Corky new they would have a good time. "Hope you're good and hungry boy" Corky said to his beloved Slog. Phats drooling at the mouth just sat there and growled. The train continued on it's way to Rupture Farms.

Zerox 01-23-2008 08:35 AM

IC: Silph mused a moment before responding again "Not really, but I guess I could be good in security. It seems to have been the thing I've been best at so far..." He groaned as some idiot came up and interrupted, speaking faster than most people would be able to register.
___

Slash was taken aback by the Mudokon's reaction. Must be a mental case, he figured. He'd ask what the problem was, but that wasn't really why he'd come in here, so he addressed the Vykker "Well, I found this thing hidden in the grinding area a while ago. I've shown Arnie, but I'm not sure what to do with it now. It's quite interesting, but if I'm correct it's some sort of weapon, and we don't want it falling into the wrong hands, so I need somewhere safe to keep it, if I may?"

Zozo the Zrilufet 01-23-2008 10:57 AM

OOC: Yay I highlight stuff and where people are.

IC

(GROUND FLOOR)
(CAFETERIA)
Population: Cylepso, RG-49, Rick, Arnie, Silph, Krett, Vester, Lenny, Ralph, Kotez, Roy
Scarface glared down coldly at the freaky thing (Silph) that snarled at him. Filthy animal...It was like they employed anyone here that had the physical capability to move! The mudokons were up and walking around for crying out loud and that glukkon (Arnie) was saying nothing about it! That other less-bothersome female friend of Dimitrio's (Cylepso) came running in, yelling blether.

"Theres some wild thing running around! What the hell is in this food?" Dimitrio nearly jumped out of his pants when her heard her. He got up, holding Tiro by the hand and skedaddled over to her with the child following.
“The good news is we found Agent.” He gasped, ribs poking at all his sides. He sniffled and cried again, though this time less extremely.
“But – but she doesn't e – even remember my name!” He whimpered. Tiro looked to the floor and cringed.
He missed Wic already. If only Wic was here...He gave him advice that made him feel better. Would it work on Dimitrio.
“Maybe she's just confused?” He piped up. He sniffled and examined his bruises.

Scarface was just left to play hangman with that huge wuss of a bigbro. Some mudokon guy (Rick) dared put down his food to confront him.
"What's wrong with you? Beating up a kid like that?" That mudokon dared speak up to him. He scowled sourly, ripped tentacles shaking. He spat in his direction and missed.
“Shut your face, mud!” He regretted it when Tiny shook and rattled him in the air as punishment.
His arms were aching so badly.

(FIRST FLOOR)(DEK'S LAB)
Population: Krik, Dionysia, Slash, Sturg
Agent 80085 was quite happy just to snuggle Mr. Sprinkles there and purr away to herself before realizing her surroundings. For starters, there was a vykker there (Krik). She had unpleasant faint memories of vykkers. They had made her unhappy and so she acted quite the violent brat as a child. She got real lonely and longed for someone to look up to who would care for her, so rather than bother an unloving vykker she pinched a doll she found. As her paranoia and pride grew she kept Mr. Sprinkles hidden and out of reach of anyone. Other sligs would probably find her emotional hold over a stuffed piece of fabric strange and exploit her weakness. She had only let one slig know of his existence and meaning to her, but that slig was long gone and that number wasn't about to change.

That vykker was also injecting and likewise experimenting on a mudokon (Dionysia). Definitely not a normal one however. She had certain feminine traits and a shirt like her (only Agent's shirt was tight, black and sliced off to save time in surgery. The slig knew she was missing something, but couldn't remember what), plus she wore red and had dark grey skin close to black. Agent couldn't see her in proper colour due to her mask, but she could see her clothes and moodiness. It was like the girl was used to being poked and prodded by a wrinkly ugly thing on a tripod.

There was some flying slig (Slash) there too. He had a...What was it? It looked like a fancy wooden baton. Why wasn't it just made out of metal or something harder? That would get slackers back into line faster. It looked like primitive native junk, though the word native skipped her vocabulary. The slig was speaking to that ugly vykker guy (Krik). Just...Why? Since when did sligs and vykkers come into contact? The slig didn't scare her though.

It was that freaky two-legged animal with a head like a scrab in a wheelchair that did (Sturg). She wasn't sure what it was she had against scrabs, paramites, fuzzles or whatever else that could eat another's flesh. But they just creeped her out to no end. She couldn't even eat meat anyway without it screwing over her digestive tract. Shaking like a leaf, she screamed and managed to fall off the table while holding onto Mr. Sprinkles. Her pants clattered off the operating table too, hitting the floor and herself. It didn't really hurt, they were aluminium after all.

Splat 01-23-2008 01:44 PM

Krik made the vykker-equivilent of a shrug. "I don't work for Arnie, but I assume no one will hate you for hiding it here. The lab is usually occupied so it's robably as safe a place as any. If you go through that door you'll find yourself in a room used for caging laboratory specimins. You could probably find somewhere to hide it in there."

When Krik turned back to Dionysia she muttered, "Probably left there by the native I told you about."
"Perhaps, perhaps. Let's hope Arnie deals with the intruder appropriately without your help, shall we?" He asked contemptuously. She scowled at him as he pushed his last injection into her arm. As he was withdrawing it there was a crash (Agent) and he jumped, jerking the syringe.
Dionysia yelled. Krik spun round; "What on Odd was that?" He demanded.

OOC: Wow, sudden surge of posts! :p Zerox, just one thing, Ralph didn't walk up to Kotez, he was previously standing in the doorway and he moved aside for the people who were entering but as Kotez was standing in the doorway then I figured Ralph could easily talk to him from where he was standing. Just saying because it kinda makes a difference just body language why, I guess. Well, to me anyway :p

ANYWAY:

IC:

Kotez: "Shouldn't you be working right now?"

Nodding, Ralph replied ,"I'm sure I should. However as of yet no one seems to have done a call for people to get to work, so I don't think anyone really knows what to do."
He looked around the room, "I get the feeling this place hasn't had much time to get reorganised after it's re-construction. But relax, I'm sure everyone including you will have plenty of work to do, perhaps more than they'd like."

He saw the glukkon seemed to be asking people to come now, but he decided he'd just wait until the line had decreased somewhat. And although he wouldn't admit it, he was curious to find out more about this steef creature.

OOC: Can't really post as Hembar until Slaveless posts again.

dripik 01-24-2008 01:49 AM

OOC: For some reason, I thought that Krett is also a kid. Maybe the 'tiny Mud voice' confused me a bit.

-------------------------------------

Not really, but I guess I could be good in security. It seems to have been the thing I've been best at so far..." said Silph when the Mudokon Arnie called for (Krett) came over and produced a rather fast introduction of himself. Arnie was trying to catch up with the things he said, his mouth slightly open. When the Mudokon finished, he spoke. "Just a minute." Then he turned back to Silph. "Security is #7's cup of tea. Talk with him to get a post." he inclined his head towards #7 Slig, who was standing next to the table, still holding a Scrab Leg for Arnie.

Arnie turned back to the Mudokon. "So... Krett, right? I don't know much about mechanics..." he shot a glance over the blueprints Krett showed him. "...but if you're an inventor, how come you ended up in a meat plant? Just curious..." he asked.

"I believe Vykker organics, who are quite adept at inventing, would take it offending if a Mudokon organic joined their ranks." noted RG from Arnie's side.

"True, I guess they wouldn't take Krett seriously." nodded Arnie.

"Although, as much as I know of Vykker organics, they would love to use someone like you as a test subject for experiments. I've heard stories of..." said RG, but Arnie interrupted. "That's enough, RG."

Meanwhile, #7 Slig turned to Silph. "So, you need a guard post, huh? Well, the thing is that security is rather messy at the moment. I don't know who's here and who's there. People went missing, others were blown up, stuff like that. I'll make a list about the currently active guards, I think. In the meantime, just make sure that everything goes smoothly on this level. If anything strange happens, check it out and handle it appropriately. If you need a weapon, pay a visit to the Armory on the second floor." said #7 Slig. "Any questions?"

At the counter, Rick felt some sort of satisfaction as the Slig (Scarface) cursed and spat at him. Not that he was looking for trouble, but it was still good to torment the Slig a bit. Rick looked at the huge BigBro (Tiny) who was holding Scarface, then looked back at the Slig. "Seems you found a proper mate you can play with. Have fun, you two." he said, shooting an encouraging grin at Tiny. With that, he left for the exit.

-------------------------------------

OOC: #7 expressed my current feelings about the situation: I don't know how many characters are active right now. We should make a list.

Carnix 01-24-2008 07:12 AM

OOC:
Krett is 18 in human years. So You might get away with calling him a kid. Although a kid is a baby goat and Krett is clearly a mud... :D

IC:
(Cafeteria -still)
Krett watched Arnie and RG's brief conversation before taking his chance to continue speaking. "I was under the impression that vykkers were quite friendly toward muds. I met one in the lab and she didn't put a single bad word my way. Mind you, I did just meet a slig that didn't hit me with his gun... And to answer your earlier question, sir, I came to Ruptur Farms because it's the only industrial workplace I know of. I've lived as a native ever since the blue guy helped me escape."

Zerox 01-24-2008 10:05 AM

IC: Silph regarded #7 Slig a moment before responding "Nope, no questions. I'll go pick a weapon now..." Silph headed off upstairs, and found the armoury, and looked around. Not bad, but he still had little experience with guns. He looked at the lines of various weaponry up on the shelves. He grabbed a belt and clipped it on, and grabbed a pair of ordinary pistols, rather than the Lungbuster variety. Nice, old fashioned barrel ones. Also taking a couple of ammo clips, he added them to the assortment on his belt. Satisfied with his equipment, he decided to go and have a practice shoot outside quickly. He grabbed an extra couple of clips and carried them to the front of the factory, and stood just outside the front doors.
___

Kotez mumbled a response. The Mudokon seemed overly friendly and talkative. This place was rather odd. He yawned and leaned against the side of the doorway, observing the head Gluk. He seemed preoccupied at the moment, so he'd wait until he was done talking to...another Mudokon. He didn't risk questioning motives at the moment.
___

"Okay, thanks a bunch" said Slash as he turned and flew towards the door, pushing it open and entering the next room. A number of stacked cages lay lined up around the room, and others randomly placed. He flew up to the highest stack, pulled the top cage away from the wall slightly, and put the satchel and Tomahawk behind it. He flew down lower. Not visible from ground level, unless someone pretty tall came in, and it was supervised. Satisfied, he left the lab. He ought to get to work now. Since Rupture Farms had only recently been re-established, there must be plenty of things to fix. He flew past the lift, noticing the doorway looked rather grubby, and the lift at the bottom. Maybe from disuse. He flew in and pulled the lever to bring it up. Nothing. Aha, the lift was faulty, unsurprisingly considering the rope was missing. A number of other parts were missing from the lift, the platform only remained in position due to it being on the ground floor. Since nothing moved the the lever at all, the electricity seemed to be cut off too. he'd need supplies, however. There must be a storage cupboard somewhere. After taking a look at his map, he realised it was up one floor. He flew directly up the shaft to floor two and entered the storage room, and began rummaging for the required parts...

OOC: Splat has suggested I write Sturg out from the RP, and I think I may follow that idea, since as he said, there really isn't much for him to do here, so, the story is that he's been taken somewhere more secret by the Vykkers in their Meech plan. That alright?

Splat 01-24-2008 02:04 PM

ooc: The main lifts are the sort of pulley/platform lifts you found throughout the first two games, where Abe pulls the rope to raise the platform.
After 20 minutes research I've uncovered:

Post where they broke initially.

There's another post where someone tried to fix the lift and they got worse; just looking for that now and I'll edit the link into this post.

EDIT: Got it!

Post where attempt to fix lifts didn't work so well.

And...

Aftermath of the above post, including one of the earliest references to the wildlife inhabiting the basement.

So the lifts would be called to your floor by pulling a lever, like they are ingame. New ropes, new pulleys (thats the wheel at the top) and new platforms are probably needed and can be found in the grinders. Electrics may need repairing as well. The lift runs from the top floor to the basement.

EDIT2: And if you're wondering if poor Sev the slig survives...
Then you'll just have to go and read W@RF 4 and find out! (It's actually one of my favourites of the classic W@RF, that and the first few pages of W@RF 5, with the exception of anything involving Chirpy7 or Outlaw King. Excellent RPGing, the 'Tom Baker' of Classic W@RF :D) (Doctor Who reference, sorry).

skillyaslig 01-24-2008 07:03 PM

OOC: Wow, people break stuff...:D
IC:
Cylepso glanced at Dimitrio as he ran up to her, holding a little mudokons hand. She blinked as he mentioned Agent. "Really?! That great! It least you know she isnt hurt...Maybe its just stress? Where is she?"
--------
Vester was still staring at the mudokons strange skin, amazed at the colour. Lenny however smiled happily and waved at roy, "No worries, my friend!! You me and Vesters friend, you can talk to us anytime!!"

dripik 01-25-2008 01:15 AM

"Ah." Said Arnie when Krett mentioned 'the blue guy'. It seemed that they got to a topic which was rather sensitive to Glukkons, even if they had no real business with Abe. "I see." He remembered that, if suspicions were correct, a Native has already made it to the factory. The appearance of another, non-Industrial Mudokon was rather strange.

On the other hand, Krett seemed to know a lot about mechanics, which is not quite common among Native Mudokons. Arnie decided to find out more about it. "And where did you learn all this?" he inclined his head at the blueprints. "I mean, Slig pants are not exactly the same level as pulley platforms, are they? Advanced gear like that is usually designed by professionals at large corporations."

As Silph left for the Armory, #7 Slig looked around and saw a newcomer at the door - none other than a Steef. #7 Slig went over, leaving Arnie and RG with Krett. "Hi. You here for a job, too?" he asked the Steef (Kotez).

Zerox 01-25-2008 08:19 AM

OOC: Before I edit the elevator post, Splat, I'm rather confused. You say it's a pulley style lift, yet electrics and buttons are mentioned in Jarnww's post as well as you say that the electrics also need fixing. However, if I'm thinking right, the pulley doesn't need to use electrics. Is there a button and a door leading onto the platform, or what? I'm just rather confused at the moment. I'll edit that post when I know what I'm doing :S

IC: Kotez had just began to drift off and jumped when the Slig (#7) addressed him. He shook his head and looked at him. Seemed important. Better try to be polite "Ah, yes, I was looking for a work position. Security might be good, but any other manual labour positions I could fill, since there already is a fair number of Sligs around here. I was given this form when I finished my artillery training, nothing much but you might need it..." Kotez reached into his back pocket and pulled it out and unfolded it, at the top in large print was written "Bulletz Ballistics and Artillery Training facility". He handed it to the Slig.

Splat 01-25-2008 08:41 AM

There are levers you can pull to sommon the lift to your floor. Think about ingame, if you've used a possessed slig to move a lift away there wll almost always be something such as a lever or voicelock you can activate to call it back.

dripik 01-25-2008 09:55 AM

OOC: Just as Splat said, yes. They have a basic electric system among the pulley mechanism, the two are connected. If the platform is on another level, you can summon it with the console/lever/whatever (I think I usually wrote consoles when I summoned platforms, but they could vary).

-------------------------------------

#7 Slig took the paper from the Steef and read it. "Uh-huh... Yeah... So, your name is Kotez, right?" he said, recalling the name he saw on the paper. He folded it and gave it back to Kotez. "You better keep it with you. It seems you're quite efficient with weapons, after all that training. But, as you said, we already have a lot of guards, so you might end up in a manual labour position."

#7 Slig glanced at Arnie, who was still talking with Krett. "You should introduce yourself to the Boss, too. While you're waiting, take a Scrab Leg from the counter." he said to Kotez.

Zerox 01-25-2008 11:12 AM

OOC: Edited the previous Slash post now, thanks for the info. Are the executive lifts the same pulley mechanism, or different? They seem to have a different shape on the map.

IC: Kotez nodded as he folded up his paper and returned it to his pocket. He mumbled a "Thanks" and, looking at the busy boss as he walked past, came up to the counter. On today's menu were...Scrab Legs. Not bad. Perhaps this place needed a cook for some other dietary options. He shrugged and grabbed one, ripping it directly off the bone and chewing slowly as he mused on possible work positions.

OddYouko 01-25-2008 03:26 PM

IC: "Alright!" Roy said walking away from the twosome. Now walking over to the counter he took a look at the menu then at Kotez. "Are those Scrab legs any good?" He asked the Steef. Roy had never seen such a powerful looking creature. Trying not to stare he just looked back at the menu.

--------
IC: The train had finally made it to it's destination. It stopped and the doors flew open letting the two get out and then zooming to another location to drop of more passangers. "Well we're finally here!" Corky said while rubbing his machine gun. Phats growled deeply he's mouth whide open causing drool to flow out and on to the ground. The twosome then headed towards the entrance.

IC

(GROUND FLOOR)
(CAFETERIA)
Population: Cylepso, RG-49, Rick, Arnie, Krett, Vester, Lenny, Ralph, Kotez, Roy, Otto
That mud (Rick) seemed too happy for Scarface's liking. Smug, even. He wanted to sock him in the face so badly but couldn't reach. That pansy Tiny wouldn't let go of him.
"Seems you found a proper mate you can play with. Have fun, you two." Rick said, shooting an encouraging grin at Tiny. With that, he left for the exit. Scarface just rolled his eyes before realizing he had been talking mainly to Tiny. He landed hard on his shoulders after being dropped. He whined and attempted to flee with just his hands and was snatched back up by the left leg.

Cylepso was optimistic as usual. She took this as good news. Dimitrio on the other hand was still worried sick about Agent. First he thought she hated his guts, then she just seemed to regret it and forget who he was. Then she seemed to have remembered something else urgent. Who the Hell was Mr. Sprinkles? Did he matter to her more than he did? He felt rejected either way.
"Really?! That great! It least you know she isn't hurt...Maybe its just stress? Where is she?" She asked with excitement. Dimitrio coughed weakly.
“She...Ran out, I – I have no idea...” He croaked.
A lack of food was getting to him. Luckily, he thought, no one seemed to even raise a brow about how underweight he was. Staring shyly at the floor, he didn't notice Tiny stomp up to him until turning around and flinching. He had Scarface dangling too close for comfort near him. How he hated and feared that guy...He eeped and edged away behind Cylepso. Still he was too close. Scarface looked around and whispered three words to him. They made Dimitrio tense up and freeze on the spot. From anyone else they'd be just plain awkward, but from him, someone who had installed fear into his mind from an early age, they were just plain insane and lacked logic.

Tiny didn't like seeing fights or violence, but he wanted that jerk punished. The glukkon (Arnie) didn't seem to of noticed the scuffle. Besides, he was a glukkon, mudokon-beating was allowed in practically every place...Except this one, but Tiny didn't know that. He held the dangling slig out to Cylepso to deal with.
Cy, Scarface hit Tiro and made him cry.” He ratted him out. Tiro sniffled in agreement, rubbing his bruised arms with watery eyes. They were both cut off from going on because Dimitrio screamed and bolted for the door.

(OUTSIDE THE CAFETERIA)
Population: Rick?
Dimitrio slammed the door behind him and sat infront of it, leaning his back against it as he shivered. He wouldn't forget what he had said...It terrified and sickened him to no end. Why him? Why him of all sligs? He wasn't even supposed to feel or let alone think that; they were just sligs. He thought he hated him. Now it just made no sense. Did he still hate him? Had he even hated him all along? Was he just lying to hurt him? He held his masked face in his hands and sobbed like he had so many times. He couldn't understand it. He wanted Agent badly.

(FIRST FLOOR)
(DEK'S LAB)
Population: Krik, Dionysia,
That weird mudokon (Dionysia) yelled for some reason. An old cranky voice snapped.
"What on Odd was that?" Probably the vykker (Krik) demanded. Shakily, Agent pulled herself onto the table so her tail dangled off and she could see the moody tripod. He had a syringe and an unhappy mudokon (Dionysia) with him. Staring at the vykker for a moment, she promptly gave him the biggest finger she could then fell back down onto the hard floor and swore out loud.
“F@&$!”

Marvak 01-26-2008 05:02 PM

OC: Lol hey everyone. Hope nobody minds me making up for my rather long absence.

IC: Wic jogged back from the toilets after relieving himself, to the cafeteria. He was starting to get to know the place now. But he still didn't have a job...
As he came to the cafeteria doors, he saw there was a rather pathetic-looking cybernetic Slig sitting by them. Hesitantly tip-toeing up to him (Abe style), he said in a quiet voice;
"Mister Sad Swiggy? Do you wanna hug?"

Splat 01-27-2008 07:47 AM

While Dionysia yelled at him and clutched her bleeding arm, Krik glared at the direction of the noise until the slig in question appeared and made a rather insulting gesture in his direction.
"Hey!" He barked; temper at an end, he stormed round the side of the operating table to confront the slig, "You will show the proper respect to your superiors slug, or find yourself in front of Queen Skillya!"
Now on the same side of the operating table as the slig, he glared at it, evidently failing to notice its unusual gender, possibly from anger, but what he did notice was the vykker-shaped toy on the lab floor. He snatched it up and glared at it. "What is this piece of rubbish?" He asked grumpily, not connecting it in any way to the slig at his feet.
