Oddworld: Mudoken Pops

'Oddworld: Abe's Rhapsoddy'.

I've always linked Abe's Oddysee to Homer's Odyssey (purely from titles).
Homer's Odyssey is an epic poem, a Rhapsody is 'a portion of an epic poem adapted for recitation'. The definitions eerily mirror Abe HD, 'adapted for recitation' is to be 'adapted for new platforms and remade'.

I can't think of anything else that both conveys meaning and has 'od/odd' in it.

To call it that the soundtrack would have to be written by Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Rhapsoddy is clever.

Actually....I thought it was quite good too!

I couldn't tell how much of that was directed at me or Fred.

I couldn't tell why referencing Ace was necessary.

It's necessary because I'm bored, and I just found that thing.

Also Rhapsody is the name of another obscure PSX game everyone has forgotten about.

It's a musical.

Is Abe HD a musical?

There's whistling.

And rhyming.

And music.

Bell chiming.

And dying.

just wanted to continue the rhyme. :\

And then people would be like "Oh, a new Oddworld game", and then be disappointed to find that it is only a remake. I think it has to have RE or Oddysee in there somewhere.

Like somebody else said, it should just have New 'n' Tasty as a sub-heading, not in the actual title.

I was just about to come on and quote my post of that idea, but yes, I'm glad other people agree it would suit more as an extra than the actual name of the game. I think we can trust JAW to name the actual game something sensible.

Maybe, just to kill time, we should make an official ranking/vote.

But that would be utterly pointless.

It could end up like the 'Dub the Dew' contest. 'Oddworld: Hitler did nothing wrong'.

I thought Lorne burnt all evidence of that game ever being planned?

I agree, but I'm not sure that's in the cards.

EDIT: Also, wasn't today the today they were going to reveal the chosen name?

The Odd Side of The Moon

Has anyone considered simply: "Abe"?
Simple, effective, to the point. There is an element of intrigue: who is this Abe? I want to know more! There is a certain memorability to the one-syllable word. There is the suggestion that this character is something to care about. There is a possible link to the name "Abraham" and the connotations that come with it that may interest certain people. Well? Am I or am I not a genius? :P
