Blind Guardian. Best fucking band ever. Hands down.
|
I've been listening to nothing but Pet Sounds since Friday.
I'm blown away. I've never heard anything quite like this. There is something really special about this album. I can't recommend it enough to anyone that hasn't heard it. Go buy it. It's dirt cheap on the iTunes store. |

Happy stuff.

Gettin' ready for the warm weather:
Super chill song. I gotta thank the guys at Breaking Bad for putting it in an episode, otherwise I probably never would've heard it. |
have some proper music.
absolutely beautiful. makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up every single time. :

Danish xfactor this year has started really strong. Ive never actually been genuinely impressed by talent shows like that. But people this season are.... rather unique. This is the group performing the song 'Somersault' by a danish band. Im a bit ashamed to say that I like the xfactor version more :3 yea shame on me for liking a cover. But I really liked this group. |
:
very old form of german, I can only understand parts of it |
I've been binging on LZ for quite some time now. |
Now, I don't deny that Stairway to Heaven is a good song, but I don't understand why everyone thinks it's some kind of anthemic masterpiece.
|
I deny that it's a good song. It bores me shitless if I'm honest. But to be fair to the composer or composers, that is partly due to the fact that I am sick to the bone of hearing it and about it.
|
I don't think that Stairway to Heaven is the greatest Zep song. Covers can never be the best song from the artist. That just happened to be the song I was listening to at the time. Nor do I consider it to be an anthem/masterpiece.
This song is just fabulous. |

Fair point, but in my experience I've founds bands through them covering a particular song and it's never their best song. Topics like this are all subjective anyways.
And before anybody mentions cover bands, they don't count. |
*Cough*

Both great songs. |

Speaking of The Liberty of Norton Folgate: I also feel like I should mention that I visited Norton Folgate while in England. I have a few photos somewhere of #1 Norton Folgate that I should dig up. |
|
Yet another song introduced to me by Breaking Bad. Some top-notch Sax playing in this one, really groovy tune. |
Earth below us,
Drifting, falling, Floating weightless, Calling coming I love this guy's music. |
I remember Shiny Toy Guns from like eighth grade, kind of forgot about them.
Been listening to a lot of Daft Punk lately. Mostly discovery. Fantastic album, makes me wanna dance. Fuck yeah party time excellent |
Oh I love Shiny Toy Guns :D
I like their version of Stripped: |
First post with max rep, thought I'd put one of the best songs ever. Gettin' me into the warm weather mood. I know no one will, but I seriously think everyone should give this one a listen. Especially if you like ska/music with a brass section. And I know a few of you fuckers do. |
The Magic Band are still touring. I would kill to see them, especially Denny Walley. :
I desire that LP. |
