Yeah, the reason of Jayne's trance can be found on page 29 (she is BigBroSlig-o-phobic, to be exact).
:
Oh yeah, page 65... |
Nice comic. I love the way you did the carrying and sitting down screens, good art and it doesn't look angular or blocky. Also good use of perspective. Keep it up dripik.
|
Yeah, I try to put detail in the movement as much as possible, yet I rarely overcomplicate things.
New page again... |
Looks good so far. :) I like it.
Maybe you try to draw the shoulders of the mudokons more relaxed in future. I think they always look a little tense for me. :) But else, really good work, dude! |
Awesome two pages, and the monumental meeting between Jayne and Musey. :p
Awesome. I can't believe you're on number 66 already! |
Yeah, well done! :)
|
Jayne and Muse certainly was quite probably the most bizarre relatioship W@RF has ever seen and will ever see. Although perhaps Dionysia and Gappiqu is trying to overtake it in that aspect?
|
Hmm, nice job Dripik. Keep up the great story telling. And I can't wait to see when the drama and the action is protrayed later in the comics.
Still thinking about how to scan my drawings. Shoot, I need to make more. Now MM, I think we have to understand Gappiqu and Dionysia in order to actually say they can fill in for Muse and Jayne. Muse is a lot like Gappiqu actually. Both have a dark past that they rather not talk about, both are emotional to some perspective, both have rather funny jobs for a Slig (Gappiqu is a mechanic and Muse happens to be a poet), and both like to express their love in odd ways. Jayne and Dionysia's only similarity is that they both are odd, are Mudokons, females, and that they sterile. Besides that, they are also the ones you wouldn't think to fall for a Slig. But Dionysia is rather self perservant. All she wants to do is protect herself, make sure her reputation is always known kept true to its form, and make sure that she has meaning. And that means she isn't about to let Gappiqu get too personal with her. However, I would love to see their relationship find its way into Gappiqu have the night of his life. (I guess that wouldn't happen, or we would have to make that RPG within pms, or simply avoid it for some time.) |
I think Dionysia is more like Jammer that Jayne :p
You can't blame Dion for being selfish, expecting everybody to worship her, thinking she owns the planet and looking down on everybody else: it's partly genetic (Skillya genes, oh my! Course if Skillya knew she had her genes, they'd kill her and everybody in in a five mile radius) and the rest of it is the way she was brought up. Blame the, uh, vykkers. Anyway, in the past she got in a relationship with a slig (Stivik, coincidentally) and it was a disaster cus she told him she had Skillya genes and he betrayed her to the Magog Cartel who decided to take control f her, rather than tell Skillya. So it's going to take a lot before she trusts Gappiqu enough to get involved, though she does like him (she'll never admit it, don't tell her I said that). Occasionally the nicer Dion has come out, but its usually when she thinks she's had the last line in an argument, which lets her clam down a little, thinking the drama is over, and then someone else says something and she feels threatened and the nasty side comes up again. By the way, Gappiqu started it. |
Dioneysia and Stivik had a relationship? Hmmm, interesting. Just curious, is Stivik gone for good, or will he ever return to W@RF?
|
their relationship ended long before Stivik came to RF, but when Dionysia came there were clues in their conversation. At the moment I've got no plans to bring Stivik back in, though I've thought about writing a story with him and Dionysia. If I did, i'd probably write about W@RF as well.
|
That would be fun to read, Splat. Yeah, it was quite obvious that Dionysia and Stivik knew eachother from earlier.
So, here's another on, page 67. |
Wow, so this is page 64. When did you start those "W@RF"-comics?
|
Vince's long-suffering look in the last frame is great!
So whadda ya wait'n' fur? GET BACK TA WORK! |
Heh, I love all of the expressions of the Mudokons. They are all just so cute in comparison to Abe! Keep on working on it.
I will be sure to read about Dionysia and Stivik's relationship. Seems interesting. To tell you the truth when I first read about Dionysia and Stivik, I thought they meet by RPG. I always had this idea to make a story about Molt's early life. But I always thought that he might be a little hard to do, because 32 years of life is not always something that is easy to write down. Besides, there is a lot of stories about Molt that we don't know about him, like his real name. Heh, that's right, Molt was renamed after a certain amount of incidents. In fact, the 'possession' wasn't the only thing that caused him to lose parts of him. But that is another story for another day. And Splat, let's not pin the whole romance thing on Gappiqu! Just because he carried and treated Dionysia in one occision, does not mean that.... Shucks, it does mean it. :P |
OK, so here's a new one. I've shortened it a little, so the last frame might look a bit strange, with RM not responding. But I'm saving the drawing of a lying BigBro (which would have been in this one) for another page.
|
A blue female mudokon? My first reaction was Anni. I can't remember that far back and can't be bothered checking, so, is it Anni?
I could tell Stivik and Dion knew each other from the past, but I didn't know they knew each other. I'd be happy to read of a story involving stivik, Molt or any of them. I still want to get Freedom Fighters done, and possibly eventually do the sequel, although prospects for that look more and more grim. I have mentioned Arthur's W@RF career in FF in passing, since FF is set post-Arthur at W@RF. His W@RF experience is quite key to his character in FF, especially in the later chapters, some of which I'm working on currently. |
Anni doesn't appear for a long time, MM. This is ages ago before I joined. The mudokon's name is Jayne, I think she was made by... Tybie odd?
Anyway, she eventually has a romantic relationship with Red Muse (the slig with the colourful pants), which is why we started talking about Gappiqu and Dionysia. Dionysia does like Gappiqu, but she doesn't want to cus she thinks it'll end badly like with Stivik. She doesn't trust anyone to become close to her emotionally. She took a long time to accept his friendship, but she did eventually, so you never know what else she may admit to later on. |
Well, I like that comic.
And yes, Anni doesn't appear for a long time indeed, I almost forgot her. :dead: |
Actually, that blue female Mudokon is called Ammy, she is TRM's character. Jayne is sleeping now in the comic.
|
Actually, I think that the blue Mudokon is Amy. Jayne is green.
But ah, the new one seems nice. Seems like everyone is going to sleep. Good night little ones! You will have a hard day tomorrow. Mwwhaa! *Sees little Mudokon crying because of what I said* I really got start being nice. And if I do recall, Dionysia called Gappiqu her friend within 15 minutes of actually talking to each other. But I guess Dionysia scratching herself was the best thing that let Gappiqu's true feelings out. |
I knew it wasn't Jayne, Jayne's appeared numerous times already. But this is Amy? interesting yet confusing:
Anni: Blue female mudokon. Ammy: Blue female mudokon. Kinda like the Dioneysia/Gretin's new character similarity. |
Actually, Anni is a pinkish grey Mudokon. But they are a little similar. They both are really child like, (which is nice, being that today's adult never seem to think as that as mature) they love to have fun, and can be emotional.
|
Right, Ammy. Sorry, forgot about her :fuzemb:
Actually after a while Anni became less child-like, and I started feeling really guilty about it cus it was probably entirely Stivik's fault. She's been better since he left, but Nova might cause her some problems. I talked to T-nex over MSN about Nova so things might not all be happy... |
Nova? Hm, interesting. Who is he? Or do I have to find out by myself.
And Splat, could you talk to T-Nex about Kix for me? I need to understand her a little more. I make it seem like I am disobeying her personality. I really need to make new art more often and post it here. I am thinking of making a sketch of both Sindera and Slap, but you never know. Although I have made one about Gillik from TAS. Although, MM, I am thinking about making a fan fic about Slap instead of Molt. I could do either or, but I don't know which one would be better to write about. But I still feel like finishing Grubb Migration first. That is way over due to start writing about. |
Nova is like the bad, aggressive side of Anni, and a bit more than that. She's a part of Anni, not a totaly different character.
Don't let us stop you from posting your artwork, Slaveless. A new page for your viewing pleasure. |
Nice one, a bit of idle chatter between Ammy and Muse :p
So Red Muse used to be red? I didn't know that. Slaveless, all I can really say is that you should go back and read about the character. The more recent bits, after Anni joined, shows the more mature Kix. I think you've done ok mostly, except that Kix isn't really interested in technology. The story of Nova, was that he and Anni were best friends in a lab they used to work in together, and then one day the vykkers grabbed them and strapped them to a machine to do a wierd brain-swap experiment or something. I can't really remember all the details, so I'll probably have to go back and read about it myself. Anyway, it seems that Nova's mind was put into Anni's and he occasionally takes control and gets rather violent. When he takes over, she can use spiritual powers as well, like calling up fire. Anni explained it to Stivik when she was trying to reason with him. I'll try and find it and post a link somewhere. |
Page 70 is ready. Nothing else to add. Except that some action is coming up!
|
I like it, Jammer looks intimdating even wothout his pants! Action you say? I look forward to it!
EDIT: Found Nova. It's the last post on page 8 of W@RF 5 if you want to read it in context. The night before Anni summoned fire but didn't know how she did it. Stivik saw her and now its morning, she's locked up in the labs and he was trying to get her to explain. She said that someone else did it and he asked her what she meant. It's one of my favourite parts of W@RF actually. Stivik and Anni have a surprisingly non-violent discussion, Stivik trying to conince Anni they're better off with the glukkons, and Anni trying to convince him of the superiority of native life. I enjoyed writing it, cus Stivik's the one whose been out there and seen the world, but completely fails to understand it. Anni uses his own evidence against him, which he completely ignores. It ends in the two of them fighting. Stivik of course, cheats and almost kills her. This post is getting really long now, but I keep finding good bits now I'm reading W@RF 5. Right after Stivik and Dionysia meet each other in the cafeteria for the first time, they start arguing. Otto asks them if they know each other already. Dionysia: "Yeah, Stivik was working in a place where I'd been asigned, right before it was shut down. We really had a lot in common." Stivik: "She was a psychopath, trying to get everone around her in trouble." Dionysia: "Exactly." |
