The first game is far better, so I'm sure that you will enjoy it and yeah the missions where you play as the girl (Sam if her name if I remember correctly) sucked. There are a couple of stealth missions in the first game but I actually enjoyed them.
The Getaway 3 was canceled to concentrate on development for Eyepet. From what I hear they apparently anounced The Getaway 3 was back in production but haven't heard anything since. |
Damn.
I remember GTA London a while back. It was annoying how you'd need the original GTA disc to play it. |
So what do you guys think of Freddie Kruger being DLC for Mortal Kombat? I have 2 words
FUCKING STUPID! EDIT: I believe this is appropiate to post here, I don't think it needs it's own thread, :

That's fucking awesome. My friend owns that game and I'm so gonna convince him to buy it. Kruger rules.
I completed Majora's Mask last night. First time using Fierce Diety's mask against Majora. Damn, that thing is overpowered. |
I want Mortal Kombat now! That's pretty neat. :D It's a shame they used to new design though. Ah well.
|
Kruger is cool, but I don't like the idea of him being in Mortal Kombat, it was fine and understandable for Kratos, but anybody else think him and Quan Chi look very similar?
|
I hope they add Krueger as an Xbox exclusive.

I bought the Xbox 360 Triple Pack today, it was in a sale at Game for £12.98 and I managed to get my hands on the last copy they had left.
It comes with: Trials HD Limbo Splosion Man 160 Microsoft Points 2 Day Xbox Live Gold Trial I only bought it becuase I wanted to play Trials and Limbo, have no interest in Splosion Man, though I must say that Trials and Limbo are fantastic games! When you put the disc in a menu comes up asking you which game you want to play, the strange thing is that this menu counts as a "game" and I have a new game on my games list titled "Xbox 360 Triple Pack" So if somebody looks at my on their friends list they will see AAA SIR GENESIS --------------------------------------------------------- Xbox 360 Triple Pack for the 2 seconds I'm going to spend on this menu... 0 of 0 Achievements and 0G for "Xbox 360 Triple Pack" |

NO SHIT SHERLOCK!
Of course I had the Fallout Collection CD in the drive! The game just wouldn't run because it is not actually the Fallout Tactics CD if you know what I mean. |
You ought to try Google.
Supposedly there's an official patch, but you can just download a no CD crack for the game. |
Child of Eden. It's fun. Sort of hard and completely nonsensical, but fun. And pretty!
|
I heard it's really good in the visual and audio side, but gameplay wise, it's repetitive and extremely short. Is that true?
|
it's a motion based rail shooter, so I think it's a little lame to cite it for being repetitive. I don't know, I mean for what it is, it's pretty good. it does seem short, but there are incentives for additional replays of the worlds, so meh. I like it. but I only rented it. had I paid full retail I might feel a little differently.

I've been playing Sonic Adventure on the 360 and a bit of Sonic 3, which I'm terrible at. I've almost finished the former, and I'll probably play Sonic Adventure 2 after. I've only played a few missions on it, so I'm looking forward to playing through the full story.
|
Beware
The final boss of Sonic Adventures is a total nightmare thanks to the horrible horrible controls. Fucking awesome concept and music though. Sega really dropped the ball on what could have been an amazing battle. |
Perfect Chaos? I watched my brother fight him earlier, and he didn't look that difficult. But I suppose the few times he did fuck up were because of the controls.
But yeah, Sega definitely could've done a much better job with that fight. It just seemed rather rushed, despite the premise being totally badass. Egg Viper was a sweet fight though. |
I still have fond memories of Egg Viper.
They fixed the balance on the final boss by the time of Sonic Adventures 2, though it isn't quite as memorable. |
I've been playing a few different games all week.
Started replaying Metroid Prime 2: Echoes on the week end, died once doing something stupid, but otherwise just bulldozed my way through the game. I remember it being a lot longer. Like, when it came out back in 2004 (when I was 12 years old, sheesh), it took me over a month to beat. I just plunked myself down and got it done in a few days this time, though. But I digress. Echoes is my favourite Metroid (Prime) game. I love it to death for pretty much every reason everyone else thought it was the weak link. Apart from how every single fucking meaningless missile expansion is blocked by Denzium (which can only be destroyed by Power Bombs, which is the third-to-last item you find. ARGH) I got to the very end this morning, going so far as to collect every single Sky Temple Key (of which there are Nine scattered all over the entire goddamn place), head on up to the final boss, beat his ass down with only 2 energy left (out of about 1000) and then stupid Dark Samus appears out of her gay blue radioactive fart ether and literally rips off my butt and tapes it to my hands while floating around and turning into a giant and shooting shit at me that I don't even want to know about. I scan the bitch, because scanning tells me how to kill bitches, but oh no, it tells me to suck in phazon energy. So I do. And it kills me. Cue anger. Cue that golden Gamecube anger from yesteryear. There was this weird, semi-furious, semi-nostalgiac moment where I remembered the exact same thing happening to my 12 year old self all those years ago, killing the final boss and then losing to the OTHER final boss like a nincompoop. I looked over at my Gamecube, one of countless bought and sold over the years, and saw the large chunks missing from my memory cards, both of which are retained from my first GC, from when I threw my controller at the system when I was 12. And you know, almost destroyed them and about 10,000 hours my sister had put into Animal Crossing. Good times. Sooo I decided to cool off with some Reach. I wanted to replay the campaign of Halo Reach, so I did that for a few missions and then got to the one where Kat gets shot in the face. This bothered me, as Kat is pretty much the only (almost incomprehensible Eastern European) voice you hear telling you where to go and what to do. Reach really could have done better than 'Everyone's fucking dead, good job, idiot' on the whole story aspect. Also TF2. I've come to a realization: I LOVE Team Fortress 2. It's super. I HATE Team Fortress 2's community, which is composed of the worst assortment of ragtag misfit disgusting gay furry bronies this side of a Reddit meetup. No, I'm not talking about any of you people on my Steam friends. Don't worry. I've also realized the one class I played the least is the most rewarding. Medics are just the best. I'm buying that damn Taunt when I get the chance. |
I haven't played TF2 in ages, due mostly to the retarded community, but I've heard it's pretty much turned into a hat-trading session. Gay.
I continued playing Final Fantasy VI, and I'm really enjoying it. I just defeated Kefka at Narche, and am trying to find Terra after she fucked off following the events involving her and the esper. My part right now includes Edgar, Gau, Cyan and Celes. This is my first time playing through FF6, so if anyone could give me some tips, they'd be appreciated. Assuming people here have played this game much. Also, am I the only one who finds Locke to be kind of a useless character? He doesn't attack for much damage, and the steal ability isn't very useful. I do like how he can lockpick outside of battle, however. |

Thanks for the Reach spoilers Mac.

PC version of FD was delayed to August :(

Yeah. 'Splosion Man is great.
I'm working on beating Ms. 'Splosion Man on hardcore right now. It's a hell of a lot harder than doing it on the first game. Partly because the levels are so much bigger and more diverse. It's really difficult to make it through these big ass levels without ever getting hit or screwing up a jump. |

I also played the From Dust demo yesterday. I was very impressed, and may pick it up after our vacation.
|
I was going to play Minecraft tonight..but...

Played the beta versions of FRACT and Tiny & Big. FRACT was trippy in the extreme, and was like a cross between Neuromancer and Myst by the artist of Darwinia. It was just downright freaky. The reward for completion is access to a sort of audiovisual mixing deck/sound board in a kind of mechanocrystalline technocathedral inside the island. It was decent fun, and even a novice like myself managed to knock out something decent. It's with screenshots in the video below. Tiny and Big had the sort of soft cel-shaded look that immediately reminds me of OANST and his various Double Fine obsessions, and a fine soundtrack to boot - you have a radio strapped to your back and you just pick the songs you like. It was short, naturally, but it's basically a platformer in which you have to build the platforms yourself, cutting through aztec masonry with a laser, tugging them down with cables or pushing them away with rockets. Worth a go, it's surprising it hasn't been done before. After completing it I spent twenty minutes setting bits of rock spinning with rockets then trying to make them crash into each other. |

Anyway. I've been carrying on with Okami after i got stuck for ages. Its one of the longest games i've ever played thats for sure and i've just played through Half-Life for the first time. Xen was a bastard. |
Yeah, Meech linked me to the post. Pretty sad.
I'm playing through Condemned: Criminal Origins to get the last missing achievements. |
