Maybe the Snoozers were also being used to test the latest Chill Pill formula, or other Vykker tranquilisers. That is ruthless efficiency.
|
The remote controls obviously aren't there just for Munch to use. Either there is a manual interface to the RMs that was never designed, or special Snoozer controllers carry a portable control panel that operates the Snoozer via the RM device. For some reason.
In the GBA game, Glukkons control Snoozers through remote controls, but there's no visible interface. |
Can some one plz give me a picture of abe on a elum plz

don't say "4" but say "for" and I don't see what you mean |
Oh, those symbols above the avatars? they indicate rank- based on how many posts you've made. Eventually you reach God like/Xavier status, with six silver Jewel symbols.
What are zugs? I assume they are a type of outlaw/hat(:p), but which kind? And have you noticed that McBoomboom, Duke and Raider look alot like Wolvarks? |
oh those owi pictures :p
actually regular members won't have 6 silver logos they only get 6 bronze ones. I have silver because I'm a moderator. |

|
I hate when people mix fan made characters and owi character in the GD, it confuses everybody
|
sorry for saying 4 and stuff and thanks for the info

Erm, I'm just guessing randomly but maybe:

I have read the print and that is a watch tower concept art for AE. Kind of looks like a Gluktigi doesn't it?
I have some questions. In AO, in some areas where there is an endless pit, there is some sort of glowing green light being produced on the bottom. Does anybody have a clue was it is? And another thing, I saw that one time I killed a Paramite with a falling rock in AO and it was witha aprtner before it left. The Paramite went after me still, even though Paramites only kill when cornered and in packs. Why is this? Also, why are there Order Bombs in factorys and other environments? What purpose do they serve? |
thanks for the link xavier and oddveteran i havnt seen that tower thanks.

But why's the native there? I find that area more difficult if I go to it, because more Sligs etc. appear after. There's no point in it. At all. Is there?
|
The Sligs that appear are easy to kill by using the spirit rings to blow up the explosives. What getting access to the spirit rings does do is allow you to blow up the bombs on the fourth screen, the one with the power shutdown button. That means it's easier for Abe to avoid the Slig that appears on that screen, but it's not necessary if you're good with controlling him.
|
Yeah, natives appear on the Rupture Farms return levels to help out, like giving you spirit rings. They also keep an eye on you to make sure that you are actually rescuing mudokons, and not slaughtering them all.
Side note: a film of AO wouldn't have Abe rescuing any scrubs until his return, but in the game that tactic will more than likely leave you hanging (and dropping, grinding, dying) at the end. |
Hey Slaveless, the Paramite could have killed you for revenge!! That also happened to me and I died. -_- Yay my rank is a Stingbee, woot!
|
Hm, I always thought of that. But obvoiusly, there must not be a stop program. But maybe there isn't one, when Abe is on the same screen as the Paramite.

i thought they were to help to.
|
Okay I have a question!! Erm what are these Khanzumers everyone is talking about? I know they are supposed to be pretty rich like the Gluks but weren't they supposed to be featured in MO? I have seen some pics of them, they look a bit like Vyks (Vykkers lol).
|
nobody ever saw a khanzumer, you must have mistaken with something else I think
anyway they are the ones that buy all the stuff that the Gluks and Vyks are producing |
On a site it said there was a production sketch of a Khanzumer *shrugs* No idea if it was true or not.
|
if you mean this, it's not a khanzumer, it's a Chronicler
http://www.oddworldlibrary.net/togg/...=RAMO0036.jpg2 |
Ooh that Chronicler looks creepy, it must be that what I saw then, sorry about it!
|
Can someone tell me this how are the oddworld creatures born if there are no females and why are there no females?
|
There ARE females but they are never mentioned, in MO there may be female Scrabs and Paramites in their packs.
|
The only time I saw a female which was in Stranger's Wrath which is the clakkers.
|
Actually, there are female Grubbs in SW as well.
In AO-MO, there are only three females meationed. Sam, the queen and mother of Mudokons, who is enslaved at her own will. Skillya, the brutal and cruel, and only queen of Sligs. The last one is Maggie, the Glukkon queen, who is under life support. I have some questions of my own. In AO, the temples have bells, which you need to open most of the doors. Can anybody explain to me why can Abe possess the bells and are the bells attached to any string? |
By queens, we mean breeding females (like ants, or bees). For those who don't know. Ahem.
We may be unable so see the string due to the resolution, but if they are floating, then can't it be put down to mudokon magic? When we played AO for the first time, I don't think any of us gave a second thought to the magical powers that we saw. As the games delved further into the Glukkon's consumerism that kind of thing was forgotten, and now we demand scientific explainations for everything. Still, they wouldn't be the only floating objects in the games (security orbs, anyone?). As for the possession, it does seem odd that a non-living item could channel the possession powers. Perhaps they were forged with spooce energy in the fires of Mount Doom? |
One bell to open doors one bell to float in midair on bell to have non explanible posesive abbility.
|
It may not seem logical that Abe would be able to 'possess' bells, seeing as his power seems to be localised towards possessing sentient creatures, but you must consider that the bells were made by Mudokons for Mudokons, with a knowledge of what muds are capable of. So perhaps we should not call this 'possession' per se but merely a channeling of the mystical chant power.

|
Actually, I think that is a transvestite slig. Female sligs are enormous termite-like egg laying machines, of which there is just the one example: Skillya.
|
Oh. Are there any pictures of Skillya?
