Fractured knee? Check.

Yup, I fractured my knee during P.E. class. During a tussle in the locker room, I was mercilessly picked up and thrown onto the concrete floor.

While it hurt for about five minutes pretty badly, the pain faded for about an hour, when it came back for fun and forced me into a painful limp I had to walk on for the rest of the school day, which was about three hours or so.

I was finally taken to the hospital, where, after two hours, they told me I had fractured my patella (aka kneecap).

So now I'm wearing a leg immobilizer while I wait for the specialist for this (the name escapes me) to come back from hunting to diagnose it more specifically, and give me the real treatment.

I'm not sure how long I'll have to wait until it's well enough to snowboard on, but I'm not very optomistic, since the doctor gave me about an 8-week minimum.

Oh well. Looks like I'll have to get used to walking like I'm a pirate with a peg leg.
