I today (or, more correctly, yesterday) succeeded in getting my nephew interested in Oddworld. He loves it to bits, despite being bad at it. I have a good feeling that we'll be on that for a while in the next week or two. It'll blow his mind when I lend him Exoddus - while I believe Oddysee was a little better in terms of atmosphere, Christ knows that a child will fucking love crushing slugs in a round mining machine.

Awesome, it's good that he's getting interesting in some of the older games. I'm glad he's enjoying it so far, and he'll get better the more he plays it.

I'd say the easiest Oddworld game is probably Stranger's Wrath. Because it relies a lot less on trial and error.

I HAVE ALSO NOTICED A CHANGE. MAINLY BEING THAT I AM STILL HETEROSEXUAL.

also i really wanted to get my cousin into Oddworld, but he's one of these kids that prefers pointless violence and fad games. i don't think anyone i know in person is interested in Oddworld.

I just got a 20 year old pervert taking advantage of my youthful innocence.

I managed to get my younger cousins playing AE a few months ago. The good thing about the 2D games is that they haven't dated despite being 11 or 12 years old. The graphics were well ahead of their time and are still believable today. A child could accept these games as new.
