I have returned to Sheffield from my recent fieldtrip to an Internetless sector of the west of Ireland. I had an enjoyable time after all that intense consternation beforehand, and the weather was quite the reverse of what it traditionally is: I received my first sunburn of the year recording the diameter of pebbles on an old potato field. I also received a drunken but official pardon from someone I got a little too frisky with when off my face earlier in the academic year, which was nice. The end result is that I have gotten a whole module out of the way in a week. Plus, for a very respectable eight quid, I got a two-and-a-half pint drink on the ferry home, and I got to keep the tankard.
I haven't yet seen many of my fellow academitranscient dee-dars, but both my housemates were home when I returned, and now they're both away for the weekend. I was overjoyed to be greeted by two blocked sinks, a rancid bathtub, and an ant population. I'm spending my time pretending to be cleaning the homestead, but I know I'm only here for another month and a half, so it's hard to put much heart into it. The search for accommodation for next year needs to be stepped up a notch, but my revision for upcoming exams should be stepped up a dozen such notches.
I see that absolutely nothing interesting has happened on the Forums during my absense
or for the last few years.
