My god pod aunt just friended me on Facebook. Oy vey...

Also, life kind of sucks right now. People who I try to be friends with, people who I have tons in common with, are either cold to me or just shun me, and people who I want nothing to do with cling to me like how flies cling to dogshit. There's also the whole career thing and how farther and farther the chances of fufilling my ambitions become as I look at the big picture. The closer the end of the year gets, the more suspicious I am of how much bullshit makes up the relationship between me and the teachers and colleagues in the music department at my school, which really sucks seeing as how that's what I plan to major in. Opportunities and treatment I deserved was given to those who don't deserve it. At least I'll never have to see any of these people ever again, and at the same time, there are some who I will cry over being apart from. I really hope you're given the option of reincarnation when you die.

Also, my cat is in heat.

I know I don't normally go off on an inconsistent bitch-rant like this, and I'm sorry if it bothers you in any way.

You talking about the bullshit in relationships makes me think of how much I hate 'smalltalk' and all of the little P.C. crap that presents itself from day to day like it needs to be coddled or nurtured. Screw that! I'm perfectly polite but when I pull up to a drive through speaker the last thing I want to hear is an insincere "How are you today"

Don't worry, some of the most interesting and happy people I know don't have careers, and most of them got sick of being pushed to pursue one.

The only awkward silence there is is the silence that other people feel they have to fill with constant chatter. I can sit in the company of others in silence just fine, it's usually just they who think they have to fill the air with noise.

I don't think so, mainly because I feel that there may as well be nobody there if all you're going to do is sit with them saying nothing. It's different with family, but with just friends, it's bloody awkward.

But that's probably just me.
