My 360 casts a looming shadow over my bedroom

Posted 06-09-2009 at 03:02 PM by Wings of Fire
Since I'm back from university and have an internet connection that doesn't run like a hippy van on moonshine I can now actually play the damn thing...

But...

I don't have any games, I haven't bought any games for the thing since I bought it over a year ago and the only game I have now that I can see myself playing is Viva Pinata <3<3

I also don't have any money, and the money I do have I need for enjoyments when one of my friends comes round during July, I've already spent £20 of the £100 my parents have lent me over the summer to live on in my last week of uni, if I can't get a job I can't buy one of these newfangled online games all you kids are talking about.

Possibly you won't believe this, possibly you will, but I am probably the shyest most socially awkward person without some form of autism you will ever have the pleasure of talking to. Now that I actually have the opportunity and excuse to talk to some of you I am actually irrationally terrified of what you will think of me D:.

Also I'm temporarily death in one ear, never good for holding a headset conversation.

I've only bough 2 games for my Xbox and got board so I'm selling it :\, don't think that will help you though.

You could also switch the headset round, so the earphone is on your good ear?

Buy a used game. The Orange box is like 15$ here which would be 7$ for you I think.

you could always rent games. that way when you beat a game you don't feel like you completely waisted your money.

i didnt know that about you WoF. i am a bumbling buffoon when it comes to talking to people that arent close friends or family, i stutter like crazy.

i am also terrified of meeting people that i know over the internet for fear of being portrayed as boring as hell or just plain stupid. i am shit at conversation and awkward silences are my bane.

that took me forever to work out OddjobAbe. i also sought out an internet slang translator the other day to discover the meaning of 'lulz' and 'zomg'.

As of yet I've only met close friends from over the internet, all meetings were quite satisfactory, with one ending in sleeping together.

But yeah, as a general rule I love people to bits as long as they keep their distance from me. I'm a walking example of the hedgehog dilemma.

I have hedgehogs in my garden. Quite a lot. They are very strange-behaving things.

And WoF, that information makes me wonder what a meeting with you would be like, as I can act very similar at times. We'd probably both just stand there and not say anything.

Actually I'd probably try to break the ice by calling attention to an aspect of you that I find cute.

The success rate of this rather depends on the person.

With Friend #1 We broke the ice by sitting on some swings and small talking 'bout Anime.

Friend #2 we broke the ice with a manhug and a walk to Glasgow City Center.

With my girlfriend I broke the ice by giving her a long hug

And with Friend #3 there was really no ice to be broken as we were both quite drunk when we finally had time to ourselves.

I would buy you Viva Piñata if I could (and if that didn't seem creepy).

Problem: that game will consume you. You start it up, and five minutes later six hours have somehow passed.
