Aaaahh, Young Love

Abbey's teacher told us the other day that she and a boy in her class named Brendan are always sitting next to each other, and holding hands. April also noticed that when she picks her up from school she is usually holding Brendan's hand. So, last night I asked Abbey about it. Here's how the conversation went.

Me: So I hear that you and Brendan spend a lot of time together.

Abbey: He's my boyfriend.

Me: Yeah?

Abbey: Yeah. (she leans in close) I don't want any of the other kids to know, so don't tell them, but we're in love.

	Apparently Brendan doesn't let the other boys mess with her on the playground anymore. A few of them were always pushing her down. It occurs to me that Brendan is probably the smart one. Abbey is by far (and I mean by far) the prettiest girl in the class. It makes sense that the boys would want her attention. Brendan figured out that the other technique is not likely to succeed.

I love hearing about your daughter, Mat.... It's about the only innocent thing I'll ever read on these forums(though sometimes some people ruin it).

And this is so super cute ^^ I really hope you'll teach her not to be a ditzy popular girl that just looks great(but it doesn't seem she's heading that direction anyway). Have you told her that the reason the other guys push her around is probly cos of them liking her and not knowing how else to get her attention?

	When really you're just a grumpy 14-year-old with illusions of wisdom. OANST, other than my own family of higher generations, you're the only parent I know. If I were suddenly faced with parenthood myself, I would come running to you. But then most of my friends will probably reach that stage before me, so you needn't panic.

	Ill never have kids. I like.. watching them and playing with them(if they aren't brats). But to have one myself... Noo way. Not really me Sadly. I'd be a terrible mom. I don't know how to discipline kids :P Or anyone for that matter.

	Glad Nikki and I agree on that topic because I would be a terrible parent too. I also have way too many plans for my life to dedicate my time and energy to raising a child. Also overpopulation. If I wanted a kid, I would adopt one.
