I'm all jittery and shaken, I almost got jumped like 10 minutes ago! AHHH!!!

So I'm walking back from my friends house (with my iPod in my hand, bad idea maybe) and a couple a dudes walk directly by. So I hang back for a second to look inside a new venue that's having a show and let them go a little while before I start up again. The one guy sees me coming, says peace to his friend and starts walking down the block I'm about to start. I walk slowly to keep him in my vision, and eventually he stops at a street like he's looking for a taxi. I pass him and I think I'm in the clear for a couple of blocks, until maybe a block from my dorm, and suddenly he's like 10 feet behind me, muttering shit under his breath. So I take off my headphones and he says "It's a cold night, huh?" (cuz it is). "Yeah, it's chilly," I reply, to which I hear, "Commere bitch!" I jump and do a split second sprint to my dorm (which I'm thankfully right next to) and slow down almost immediately. Then he goes "Sorry if I scared you" without a trace of sarcasm or anything and he keeps walking.

Confusion, I don't know what to think. Should I feel like a pansy or a victim? It's hard to say.
