Best Fifth of May ever.

So, on the way to school, I was trying to get sleep in the car.

All of the sudden, the car jumps up, and it sounds like we ran over a chunk of metal.


Well, as it turns out, it was a fifth grader trying to cross the street during a green light.

So, called 911, ambulance got there, questioned by the police, all that.

Well, by the time it was over, school had already started. So, I got to stay home.

Started chatting with a friend about it...

Finally, a kid gets run over for his stupidity after all this time. At least, that's how I've interpreted it. Either he saw the car and decided to walk into the middle of the road anyway, or your parents didn't see hum or were going too fast.

It's probably one of the two.

Um... I've never really seen running people over with cars as "cool"... You could have killed him :-/ This is irresponsibility on your parents' part too.

I'm sorry we ran over a kid while he was crossing a busy street. It's totally our fault. Not the kid's fault at all. All he did was try to cross during a green light.

Still not something to feel proud of... Who knows maybe he was tired. Not that it was an excuse. maybe he learned his lesson now. But people who think its cool to hurt others like this just plain suck.
