For realz though, Long distance relationships are teh sux. Too much trust is needed and heartbreak is almost guaranteed. I hope things are not this way for you.

I've maintained one for over a year now, through short term depression, long term illness, various other catastrophes and over a 600km distance which has now been shortened to a far more manageable 150 I think I'll be alright.

Also her dad has a gun, a big hunting rifle, and he wasn't afraid to let me know about it, I shall hope he doesn't notice the big purple bruise on her neck.

Nemo, maybe you just aren't mature and strong enough to be able to maintain a long distance relationship. But some people DO love each other so much, that even an ocean can't hold them apart.

Call me crazy, but I think the better relationships I've had (friend wise) have been online ones. I talk more with them, I do more stuff with them (it's amazing how much collaboration can go on across the internet) and I think they've been the ones to help me grow alot more as a person than the people "in real life."

Anyway, sorry to hear about the state of things. I've never grown romantically attached to someone enough to care where they go for an extended period of time, so I can't really relate, but I can imagine how you feel.
