It was lance practise today, which I didn't go to because I'm meeting a couple of good friends in about half an hour and trying to pair them up with eachother. I was called up by the police about ninety minutes ago and asked to confirm their addresses and if either of them took medication.

Apparently there have been complaints about our swordfighting in the park we've always used for combat, so the police came and arrested my whole lance bar me, they've been released by now and they're round the presidents house sorting out all the admin and figuring out how they can stop this happening again.

Fun times =D

The only problem I can see is if they bought out the steel, and as long as we had an established perimeter far enough away from any children or paths then I can't imagine it being a problem.

They got out after a few hours, and it's undecided whether the charges will reach court or not, it's 99% likely they won't, and if they do then there's really no grounds to find them guilty on.

To clarify, the police were called because they recieved a phonecall from a concerned member of the public saying 'There are two youths with swords wearing black masks trying to kill eachother in the park'. Three squad cars came and the officer in charge recognized that they were doing nothing ilegal straight away, and they were arrested sheerly for the police's public image.

They spent the next several hours in police cells whilst the police made inquiries about our group, my landlord spent it catching up with some sleep and my other flatmate spent it working out. They were released at about 7pm, and now the president and founder of the group is trying to get the admin side of this sorted out with the Students Representative Council.

The only complication is that as well as the dull blades and the fencing masks, they were also both carrying a sharp dagger/knife in their rucksack, which was part of the collection to be used as an eating implement.

Also if worst comes to worst I'm writing to every single newspaper I can find, but my flatmates would prefer if this was dealt with quietly without their parents finding out.
