I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby.

Crazy shit. I came across a word grid, where you're supposed to see five different words based on your current mental state.
"Secret, resent, rage, scum, pogo."
I don't know how pogo sticks got into my subconscious.

I'm afraid I might end up addicted melatonin pills. Silly, I know. But...

My religious views are highly against being controlled by my desires, rather than controlling my desires myself. I don't like the idea of doing drugs for recreational purposes. In fact, there've been several times where I've simply cut off communication with my best friends because they kept mentioning them.

And it worries me that I might be doing the same thing with these pills. They give me very vivid dreams, and in these dreams, certain people I used to know are still around.

A pill a night, and I believe I'm in some other reality.

It's a very good escape from reality, but I'm afraid of how far this'll go. What if I stop getting these dreams? Will I look for other ways to "escape?"

What if I was wrong? What if one of the core principles of my philosophical stance is malarkey? How do I know the term malarkey?

Sometimes I'll take two melatonin pills a night just to go to sleep. I've never noticed a difference in my dreams when I take them though. I don't think they are very addictive; just mentally maybe. If you're tired enough you'll just start snoozing eventually. Escaping from reality can be quite destructive so you'd better just make yourself happy in real life. You can die from overdosing on sleeping pills!
I still wouldn't get how those pills would have such an effect on you. Do you take anything else that mixes with them? I know you say you're against addictive substances, but haven't you said you took a bunch of meds in the past?

I've never had anything but over the counter medicine in the past.

I only take these pills with soda or water. I actually don't drink alcohol or need any other medication.

oh Well I don't see anything wrong with that myself if you're just taking one a night to have some pleasant dreams. Now if you were taking them during the day then I'd say you have a problem.

I reckon your fine Nemo, you seem a deep contemplative person from what I can tell, a worrier? Calculative certainly, I think you'll know if you have a problem and you'll stop.

I feel like they only put in words with negative meanings and left out positive ones just to make people think they're depressed.

I think wisdom is positive, secrets isn't necessarily negative either.

Well, then it seems like they had more emphasis on negativity at least.

I'm irreducibly (apart from sleep) tired from a 12 hour factory shift in Belleville's enormous, city-straddling tampon factory. So tired.

Also, abandoning your friends for getting into substances is so unbelievably petty and superficial. Shame on you.
Posted 02-27-2011 at 12:48 PM by Mac Sirloin

It wasn't the fact that they did drugs. I could overlook that. It's that they continually brought it up, and every time they did, it would end up becoming a huge argument.

It got to the point where every time I talked to them, I knew it would end in yelling.

We're friends again, though. We very rarely talk about things pertaining to drugs now, and when we do, we always ask the other if it's alright if we talk about it.

It's a bit strange. That particular friend of mine (and I shall call him Jonny,) and I always end up getting in fights together, but we've always ended up pulling together afterwards. I've known him since 6th grade, and he's still one of my best friends.
