But eerily beautiful, and very thought provoking. It's like if you put Fantasia on drugs and gave it to the Italian version of Ralph Bakshi.

I like how the film it's from is a parody of Fantasia, and yet Fantasia uses that same piece some fourty years later for their excellent Firebird segment.

I must admit, despite what I may have lead you to believe, I don't dislike all Japanese animation. Just most of the stuff that I'm aware of. I prefer the general feel of Western stuff, probably because it's more familiar to me. Now, I can really appreciate live action, but that does it for me at it's most when it's slapstick comedy. People like Laurel and Hardy, Norman Wisdom and John Cleese (his build and the way he used his legs were fucking hilarious - along with Michael Palin's expressions, they were the best things about Monty Python).
