Fuck you Kant!

The moral worthiness of any actions motivation is a nonsensical point without reference to the action itself and the wider contextual basis the decision was made in. It is meaningless to think of a seperate idealised moral imperative and only judge actions as morally worthy if they are only borne from a sense of duty, actions pertaining to moral worth come from love, compassion and wisdom, not cold platonic ideals.

I reject the Categorical Imperative and I reject Kantian Metaphysics. Actions cannot be wholly judged by the percieved value of their causal motivation.

Finally, I have that out of my system.

Older members may notice a discrepancy between this and my previous beliefs on the subject of motivational values.

In other news I think I did well on the test, I came to this conclusion in a question when I realized that critically considering what Kant would think of the moral worthiness of the phrase 'She had a heart which had no need to think of a service as an obligation in order to perfom it' was just leading me around in analytical circles, so I ended my essay with a paragraph explaining why the Kant, and the question, were a pile of tosh.

Incidentally, it is physically impossible for any species of bat to fish using an ordinary fishing rod.

I feel this was foreshadowed enough to escape being random, especially considering my afterthought.
