Pee-wee Herman is back

Posted 12-11-2009 at 06:15 AM by Sekto Springs
That's right! He's back!

Anyone who posts about his arrest will be drawn and quartered, but that won't stop you. I predict this entire blog will become a Paul Ruebens mudslinging contest, if it doesn't though, you all get a cookie. Everyone knows he only got busted because he was a celebrity, and if he were a normal patron he would have been handed a tissue and politely told to put it away.

Pee-wee Herman is divinity incarnate, and he just plain kicks ass. I'm hoping he gets a second chance with this stage production, it's been over a decade since his "scandal", so hopefully the new generation will be more accepting of his antics. I know I will.

PS: Nikki, I already know what you're going to say about his name. Just keep your trap shut

No way, man. He's eccentric, but not that eccentric.

Mhm. How much do you know about him? I'm the fan here, and he was before your time.

He was caught beating off in a porn theatre to adult women. How does that make him a child molester? Were you molested by him? Is that why you're so stuffy? It's okay, Opril... you can tell us.

Someone who beat up kids for lunch money is in no position to be talking about abusing little kids. Plus, you never even saw the show, what with being in an orphanage and all.

Where are you getting this crap? Encyclopedia Dramatica?
He was never arrested for touching a kid in a truck. He was arrested in '91 for indecent exposure for masturbating in an adult theatre.

In 2002 he was investigated for allegations of possession of child pornography, but the charges were quickly dropped when the pictures were found to be nothing more than paintings of clothed, albeit scantily-clad, children posing with animals. Creepy maybe, but not porn.

You either like the character Pee Wee or you don't. Let's not be children and make another Michael Richards incident out of this. I HATE KRAMER BECUZ HE WAS MEAN TO BLACKS. Wut? No he wasn't, Kramer is a character.

^ This. Regardless of his personal life, Pee-wee is a great character, and so is Kramer. I don't enjoy either of their performances any less.

From what I understand he's actually been doing his old comedy routine at various venues in Los Angeles for the past few months.

OLD NEWS BUT GOOD NEWS

Also, I personally subscribe to the idea that what happened to him the the adult theatre was a publicity stunt of his own design to help him break away from the 'Pee Wee' side of things and get back to being Paul, you know?

I mean, Pee-Wee's playhouse started out as an adult stage show, and got ass-fucked into a generally confusing children's program. Other than the steady paychecks, that probably sucked.

I'm not sure where I stand on this. I don't really find the show good or bad, but this isn't of any particular interest to me...

Maybe it's cause I saw only one episode around 11 on Adult Swim...

If that's true, that was one helluva risk he took. Voice acting and secondary roles in Mystery Men, Blow, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer were pretty much the extent of his career after Pee-Wee went belly-up, so I guess he succeeded in escaping that persona for a while.

Don't forget his secondary role as the hotel desk clerk in his own movie.

"Paging mister Herman- Mister Herman you have a telephone call at the front desk." *looks uncomfortable*

Second only to his histrionical performance as the sommelier in The Blues Brothers.

No no.... it's the other waiter who pours the wine, aghast, saying, "Wrong glass, sir" as Belushi gestures for him to fill it anyway.

Belushi says, "Bring us your finest and most expensive bottle of wine," Paul Reubens responds "We have a Dom Perignon, '71, at a hundred and twenty dollars."

Belushi: "That'll be fine, pal."
