I think it makes perfect sense, a disembodied voice from their left told them to look to their right, they look to their left in surprise and are quite obviously shocked at see whatever they see.

This is taken out of context. Clearly both characters are retarded. The scene after this features both of them shitting their pants and clapping as they roll around on the floor squealing. It really only makes sense when you see it in it's entirity.
