Pros: It's a fairly industrious city filled with lots of different types of people

Cons: It's pretty dirty
Rent control and housing can be quite expensive - my step brother lived there for two years and it was very pricy. Then again he didn't have a steady job like you would, so there's that


I don't know that much about Toronto but that's about as much as I could pull out of my ass.

Pros: public transportation is excellent. At least it was excellent eight years ago.

And it's a hard city to get lost in. I never got lost. And I still get lost in the village I grew up in.

Pros: it's in Canada. And Canada is fucking awesome.

Their basketball mascot is a fucking dinosaur.

Cons: Apparently bedbugs are a problem in Toronto.

So that's what that's supposed to be.

Toronto's excellent, pretty much the multicultural capital of the country that isn't Vancouver. There's a weird housing boom going on that maakes renting or living in Toronto (especially downtown, obv) an overexpensive fucking nightmare. However the outlying areas of the city are more affordable. Avoid George St, it's full of housing for the super poverse and thus brimming with thieves and murderers. So no Geoerge St.

There's always something new to do, pretty much 90% of Ontarios interesting things are in Toronto. (Another 3% are in Ottawa and I myself am the final 7% of that statistic) They got a Zoo where I cut my finger, A museum where I crapped my pants when I was little, another museum where I held in a crap for half the day, and even at least one single book store. Tons of music shops, pubs that serve local microbrews and that crap, you can find pretty much anything in downtown/Kensington market and you'll need to visit the Distillery District at least once. It's full of hipsters but it's got some great red brick buildings and small businesses. I got some great shepherds pie there.

Pros: It's as metropolitan as Central Ontario can possibly get, there's a lot to do, especially if you're an observant academic, public transit is comprehensive and right now being altered in some serious capacity by the whims of Toronto's mayor.

Cons: Toronto's mayor is a fat conservative pig who makes pretty much everything about the city look bad when he opens his mouth. He's our Prime Minister's fat little bulldog and I'm really just amazed he's still in office.
Crime's not so serious that you need to bolt your door 3 ways but walking around with another person late at night is a good idea.
