My Tenth Blog: Inglorious (may contain spoilers)

So I came back from watching Inglorious Basterds at the cinema, it was pretty good. The action and ending is truly worthy of being called a Tarantino film.
My main criticism was the slow pacing for the start of the film. Except from that, it was exceptional is quite a few ways. For a period piece, it was filmed well and the costumes and cast were chosen wisely. Brad Pitt is superb as the over-the-top american general. You'll get to see some interesting role reversals near the end of the film and there are quite a few unexpected happenings throughout the film. Most of the language in this film is German/French, but the subtitles are in a nice yellow font, so they are easy on the eyes. The film is broken down into chapters, but unlike most Tarantino films it follows in a linear order from start to finish (Probably to stop the audience getting confused). I give this film an 8/10. If you like Quentin Tarantino films and don't mind a bit of waiting before the main plot kicks in, you'll like it. Any thoughts? |
