My New Sax

It's fantastic. Sounds lovely. Just a shame I'm not a great player. For those who don't know very much about saxophones, this one is a tenor. Has a more mellow tone than an alto, and reaches deeper notes.
I recorded it with my 4-track Tascam recorder which came just the other day. See attached file for a demonstration of the sound.
By the way, I had to compromise the quality to fit it in the attachment. It was originally recorded in good quality.

EDIT: In the unlikely event of someone giving a shit, here's the file in its original quality.

Can comment now. I fixed it. I accidentally un-ticked "allow comments".
And please, someone do comment, or I'm going to feel humiliated for posting such a notice.

Yay! Rhapsody in Blue.

You should play "Space Lion" from Cowboy Bebop.

I'd like to learn that, actually, now I've listened to it. It's a very nice piece.

I downloaded it to see if it really was worth it. I can't really say if it was or wasn't, as I'm unfamiliar with the sax and how they sound. I won't be the judge on how good it sounds, or how good a player you are.

That's fine - I only included the audio file so that you could listen to what the sax sounds like. I'm really impressed with the sound. It's one of the best tenors I've had. Antigua seem to be carbon-copies of Yanigasawa, only cheaper.

I found it on Sax.co.uk, but I rang around a few shops to see if I could get it cheaper (it cost around a thousand pounds on there, which is actually pretty cheap for what this sax is). I found one in Oxford and I managed to get £300 knocked off the price (very good fellow the shop owner was), so it only cost me £700 (£750 included a better sling, some reeds and proper materials for cleaning it). I collected it at the shop on Christmas Eve, and being the wonderful woman that she is, Emily put half towards it for Christmas.
