I got one the week it came out. Awesome as.

Although I rarely use it since I came back from my travels, I have been severely tempted to replace it with one of the new touchscreen ones. Or the new sexy Sony netbook whose name escapes me.

Do you use it with Linux or XP? Hows the performance?

I've seen and used a few of these. Not useful for me, but if you're on the move a lot they're pretty good.

i hate machines... they anger me

20gb, which is hilariously small, but I've got an external hd for all the shit I want to use. I've got a plethora of portable applications to use as soon as it arrives (my guess about 3 days from now).

I'm running Xubuntu (which is the low-powered version of Ubuntu). I'm running the older processor so performance is so-so but more than adequate for what I use it.

If you want to install Linux, there are a lot of tips and tricks to improve performance. I can send you links and shit.

Is it basically just for writing text files on stuff? Nothing fancy, just a little assistance?

Uhhhh... no. It's a fully featured computer.
