I begin school on Wednesday. What a short yet long summer it's been.

Looking back on that little poem I wrote to salute the end of a strange and tiresome year, I feel as if I wrote it yesterday. I know that's not the truth. Not just literally, but emotionally and mentally. I only hope the beloved *senior year* brings more to the table than what I dread and what I apathetically wait for.

Same day as me. I dunno, I'm half looking forward to it, I know it's just gonna be one of those lame years. I've picked what I wanna do though, so maybe it'll get better.

Same. So many little projects and skills I've only just started giving the proper amount of care for. I'm just hoping school won't be so busy that I won't have enough time for them.

Ehh, Labor Day weekend is only a few days afterwards.

At the time, I thought I would look back on my high school years with fondness and nostalgia. I look back now with jealousy (of a me that would participate in sports, art, music, and social events) and hatred (of a me that gave these things up).

Summer? Nothing good has ever happened to me in a summer.

Enjoy your lives. I left mine behind, scattered in gutters over the years.
