Oh please... so you've been told you have some 'condition' by some 'authority' on the subject. You're just fine.

Everyone's just fine.

And you'll live on!

...why does there have to be something 'wrong' with everyone, instead of there being something that is simply a part of one's personality. *gasp* we're individuals!?!

STOP THE INSANITY!

Because is the impairment of specific cognitive functions that manifests stereotypical symptoms.

In this case it primarily hampers learning and use of the visual notation of speech, and seems to arise from differences in the way the brain processes written and spoken language. It is distinct from personality, however "dyslexia" is something of a wastebasket diagnosis, accounting for a wide and diverse range of deficits and their causes. These are suspected to be the result of neurological variations from the norm, but it is not an intellectual disability.

PET and MRI studies have found "localized dysfunctional phonological processing in dyslexia to left-hemisphere perisylvian regions." So Yeah.

Authorities on subjects know more about subjects than those who are not authorities on subjects.

I definitely agree dyslexia being a "wastebasket diagnosis."

Not all "authorities" know "more" about subjects. Damn those who believe this. Authorities must prove themselves in order to be authorities... too many of them just 'sound smart' and paint an illusion with smart-sounding words which don't really say anything. Call these 'self-proclaimed' authorities.

There is nothing wrong with dyslexia; 'neurological' as it may be it does attribute to personality.
