Things are finally going my way.
I've landed a job as a writer, been working for about a month now. The wages are fantastic, it's hard to go by hourly wages due to the nature of the work and its payment, but it's probably something close to £13~ an hour. For a 17 year old not even out of sixth form, that's an amazing amount of money to be making.
For the first time in my entire life I'm seeing more money come into my hands on average than what is going out. What's even better than that is that I'm literally doing my dream job, not everyone can wake up and look forward to going to work, but I actually count down the days until my next job will come through with excitement. I love writing, pretty much anything, from whopping great essays to SEO product reviews. It's the start of a path towards a literary career, and while I'm not doing anything ground breaking, I'm doing something I love.
To compound this recent success, I might be conducting and writing up an interview with the CEO of moonpig.com some time next week. I was asked to do this by some teachers, the fact that out of all the potential people they could have asked, I was amongst them, gave me such a confidence boost at time when I've been worried about quite a number of things.
I'm in a good place right now, despite having recently got braces and catching a throat cold, infection...thing. It's unusual for me to be this happy, and I'm enjoying being alive one day at a time.
There's someone here I have to thank though, perhaps unwittingly, he's helped me get on the first rung of the business ladder. Darkhoodness, if you hadn't shown me People Per Hour, I wouldn't have been motivated to follow this through, I wouldn't have a job and I probably wouldn't be in as good a frame a mind as I am now, in fact I know I wouldn't be. Because of one kind suggestion, I'm back in work and loving living. So thank you. Very much.
I hope everyone is equally as happy, I love you all.
