November 1963 was one of the most important months in (fairly) recent history. On Friday the 22nd of November, John F Kennedy, President of America was assassinated while travelling though Dallas, Texas.
But overshadowing that completely was the fact that the following day, the first ever episode of Doctor Who was released, which of course completely changed the world; Doctor Who is the longest running science fiction series in history, putting anything those yanks have produced to shame....

I always say that Christmas begins the first day I see an advert for it.

Today it was a trailer for a Christmas-related film that I saw in the cinema and didn't absorb the name of.

Also, I saw Brave! It's exactly my kind of film; I loved it! <3 fairy tales.

So anyway, Merry Christmas, all. (Sorry it's late - last year Christmas started in May.)

Heard this song for the first time a few days ago and it's been on my head since.



Apparently the guy played at a homeless shelter and was moved to write this the same night.

I don't listen to a lot of mainstream music, but because they play music in the shop where I'm working I've heard a lot of it, and I'm actually starting...

I learnt to write by writing fanfiction: deal with it, OANST!

I didn't want to write rubbish stuff, silly 'hook up characters who totally should be hooked together', 'insert character strongly resembling myself so I can meet/save the life of/make out with the hero/heroine of the story' and so on. I wanted to write good stories, and it happened to be that so many of my favourite works, including Oddworld, inspired me, so I built stories around the source of my inspiration.

A courgette, (AKA. Zucchini, for all those who live in a country where they don't speak or teach English English) is a vegetable that I can't say I'm particularly fond of.

When my mum cooks it as a vegetable to go in the typical English meal formula (Potato product + Vegetable or salad + Some form of meat product) it just sort of sits on the edge of my plate, all limp and slimy, clinging feebly to the insides of its skin like an old person trying to conceal his nakedness with a face...
