I heard this on a New Zealand news show. Our media is so crap

Does your media at least broadcast something other than terrorist attacks or the US occupation when it comes to international stuffs?

not really. we've pretty much had at least one Obama/American election news item per day for the last year.

One guy dies in America due to collective stupidity and greed of other Americans. That's not international news. It's even expected. And we get a lot more of your news than you get of ours.

When I first saw the window's titles "Man gets trampled to death" I thought it would be a rhino or an elephant, not something depressing for the state of the human race as a whole.

Remind me again why people feel compelled to do so much shopping on "Black Friday" as opposed to earlier or later? It's not like they don't get prior warning, I mean, they did name the day for this behaviour.

This just reminds me of how much I despise people. Is a world full of intellectuals or at least people with half a brain too much to ask for? Why do most people have to be doylums?

I have a feeling that some of you are going to call me a hypocrite for that statement.

Wow, that was some unnecessary depressing news...

I was listening to the CBC earlier, they did a ten second bit on this 45 year old who STABBED 4 PEOPLE, INCLUDING 2 CHILDREN AT THEIR BIRTHDAY PARTY AND THEIR MOTHER WHO DIED FROM THE WOUNDS. THIS GENTLEMAN WAS SUBSEQUENTLY SHOT TO DEATH BY POLICE. followed by three minutes of some bullshit in Taiwan. I mean, could we at least make an EFFORT to acknowledge the fucking horror show of stabbings here? A guy got decapitated and NO ONE FUCKING REMEMBERS.
