Holy shit, that's fucking awesome.

I just bought a Thelonious Monk CD from the Primo collection (Midnight Monk to be exact), and it is awesome. I had a very old LP with a lot of the tracks on a very long time ago, but it is even better than I remember (and the remastered tracks sound great).

My only complaint is that the case fell to bits as soon as I opened it.

Also bought Charles Mingus' album 'The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady', which came with a few tracks from 'Mingus Plays Piano' on CD. That's awesome too. That case is in tact.

But that isn't all. There was a 'buy 2 for ten' offer for CDs with stickers. So I got the Charles Mingus one AND a Prince Buster CD for ten pounds. And they're good CDs. Good tracks and lots of tracks. Worth the money.

Come on, jazz and ska is awesome.

Jazz, in all of its forms, is magnificent. Ska was never my cup of tea.

Do you listen to any contemporary Jazz like The Bad Plus or United Future Organization?

I used to have a few United Future Organization recordings lying around. They did some pretty good stuff. I have no idea what's happened to those recordings, though. Jeez, a lately I seem to be losing everything.

They're not my favorite, too much glock IMO, but they're definately great for contemporary listeners.

I needs me somes John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Marc Seales.

My favorite John Coltrane album was definately Blue Train. The classics are the best Miles Davies was great too, but he doesn't really mean quite as much to me, as I haven't had any experience with the trumpet.

You know, I haven't listened to Marc Seales for quite some time, but I remember him being good. Didn't he play the piano?

I've only heard a few of tunes by him, but they had piano in it. I wouldn't doubt that he was a pianist.
