Can everyone just chill out

Is it just me or has the internet become compacted with shit that no one actually cares about? A bunch of people shouting out into the darkness, whacking someone in the face every now and then.

This post is an example. No one cares what I have to say. I don't care if you read it. I just wanna have a lil rant.

Facebook is full of what I hate about people. I can't stand it.
The public forums in Parks and Recreation are exactly how the people who complain on Facebook act and elections just give everyone the courage to spew their bullshit throughout your day.

It just hurts my brain and heart. Can we all not just try to listen to other people and think critically? It isn't that hard. It just takes a bit of effort. I'm doing my bit, why can't more people do theirs?

People share nudes on your Facebook, Phoetux? That's comparatively exciting. The only thing that comes up on mine is hundreds of posts about "No means no", "Gays are okay and oppressed", "Plastic is the devil and the ocean is dead", "Don't own more things than you need", "Be spiritual" and all kinds of trite, if also noble, videos on these subjects by various online celebrities.
