2. Yes. Alcar was (and technically still is) the admin and owner of Oddworld Forums.
3. No. His account isn't gone, Alcar himself is gone and never came back to the forums.

Why bother? At this point the only thing keeping this place alive in even the vaguest sense, is the ARG. Most discourse surrounding said ARG has now moved on to Discord, which was the ultimate death blow to OWF really.

Let's be honest, OWF is dead.

Let's be honest, OWF is dead.
It's quite true, there are very few posts about Oddworld itself. OWF also has an old forum interface and vBulletin version, and I think people left or didn't join at all for this reason too.
The other reasons could be that we're known as a toxic community (The OWF Community), Oddworld is not famous enough (yet) or the forums aren't a thing that people check so much nowdays, except forums about very famous things, and I'm really sorry to say this but Oddworld Franchise isn't that much famous now.
Yeah sure when New N Tasty was out the community was more alive again of course, but it probably wasn't enough.
I hope that Soulstorm will bring back some fans and keep them in the community and make the Oddworld Franchise more successful than ever. From what we've seen Soulstorm is probably going to be the best game ever made by OWI.
But after all we haven't seen any gameplay of it, so we can't really say how it's going to be. We can only guess, and hope for a good game.
Maybe it's gonna be better than Stranger's Wrath, who knows...
