Drama queen. I hate literally everything. April Ludgate is my spirit animal.

[Edit 13 Oct 2017] I just realized how edgy my blog description is but it's funny so I'll leave it there lmao

I think the command might actually work under the Bash shell newly introduced in Win10

I'm installing Windows 10 Preview on a VM right now just to see if it deletes everything. I have a feeling it won't get past Windows protected system files, because Cygwin doesn't.

I got a bit sidetracked and instead of doing that I managed to run a few GUI Linux apps with a X Window server.

The desktop technically works too but it works as a window, and if you click on it it just gets in front of the other stuff.

That being my main desktop, by the way. I'll set up the VM soon. If I can find a Windows 10 CD key.

I forgot to take a snapshot thing and I didn't try running it as Administrator though.

After restarting the VM, pretty much the only thing that still works is Cortana and Bash deleted itself so I'll have to reinstall the whole thing.

Update: those files are protected yo not even elevated bash + sudo can make Windows kill itself. I got the same result as the normal user mode console thing

Hm.

You can try giving all the files the permission to be deleted. Here's a random link about doing this. The chmod's "777" permission code is the desired one, I think.

You can stop a console working by pressing Ctrl+C, in case you're getting the "permission denied" error, and don't want to wait till it's over

Does sudo on win10 actually make your commands run using the SYSTEM account though or is it just like running a program in administrator mode?

I think a lot of the important OS files (most likely they changed the account ownership for files like hal.dll etc.) are under ownership of the SYSTEM account and it's normally totally impossible to access it. Unless you're on Windows XP of course.
