Video Game Music Update

Hey guys,

In my last blog I posted a track which I had been working on for a while. Well I have been working on it ever since, and I think I can finally say that I am almost 100% Happy with the end result!

Being a student paying thousands of pounds per year to study, I don't have sufficient funds to buy myself decent VSTIs/Sound Packs, so I have had to make do with what I already have, and I'm still happy with it, and would like to share it with you guys. I don't think that this piece is too much of a bad attempt at composing, as I cannot read music, nor am I a professional composer. This is just a hobby

Anyway, it is titled 'Frosty Creek' and was inspired by David Wise, who composed the soundtrack to the majority of the Donkey Kong franchise as well as a few other 3D Platforming games.

Hope you enjoy.
(And yes that's my real name )

Even though it is repetitive and supremely generic, it is pretty masterful.

Reminds me of Mario Kart. It's not my sort of thing but it sounds pretty good, and I actually like the shitty preset instruments you've used, because it really makes it sound of a time - N64/PS1 era.

You know, if you can't afford VSTs and Kontakt libraries you can always torrent them and then buy them later when/if you can afford it. Nobody actually cares and it allows you to unleash your creative potential.

It reminds me of some of the music from Tombi, but with drums. Sounds pretty good - it does go for ages with no change but if it's an example of background game music then that's fine I suppose.

Fuck you Nepsotic I wanted to say it was like something out of Mario Kart. Specifically Double Dash. I feel like I should be plugging in my Game Cube or something. It's good, feels like you've gone for early 2000's retro and hit it hard. <3

The reason it goes for ages is because it loops. The track is only 1min48s Long

Nice, I like it. Gives me a Croc: Legend of the Gobbos feel.

Thank You This is another one I am working on, It's still quite rough, but i'm trying my best to go for that 'Mario Kart' feel. I find that Nintendo Music is so much easier to compose, as it is mainly catchy and there are many different themes I can play with, this one being Desert-Like. Loops at 1:38
