Worked a day accidentally high

So I'm sick. Very sick. I'm coughing hard all the time and producing mucus like crazy. I, just before leaving for work, take a dose of Delsym, and perhaps I slightly overfilled my cup because I felt like real shit and I work in foodservice. So I get to work, the meds are def working and I feel fine. I get in the back and start doing dishes and my boss comes back and gives me a bottle of Dayquil and says "here's a present." Trying not to be rude, I take a dose in front of him. Then, behold, I learn that one of the main ingredients in Dayquil is the same in the Delsym, which I already took a little too much of.

And so I spent 2 hours washing dishes and zoning out, and it all felt like maybe 15 minutes. No hallucinations, thankfully, but it was surprisingly enjoyable. I actually forgot I was sick at a point.

What's funny is yesterday I was suicidal and considering getting high on cough syrup on purpose.
