The most amazing fried egg I've ever had

I just made THE MOST amazing fried egg ever.

Before you ask, yes, that is ramen, I highly reccomend putting a fried egg in your ramen. The noodles take in the egg flavor and the egg takes in the broth flavor it’s some goood shit GOOOOOD SHIT.

It had just the right amount of broth and black pepper flavor and the yolk was warm and gooey, but all the white was solid and cooked. The first bite was all whites, tasted like I expected, then I bit the yolk and it just melted all warm soft and gooey into every inch of my mouth.

Just... just look at it's glorious, gooey, soft, shiny, messiness.

I've been putting eggs in my noodles for ages and everyone called me weird. Also, stick butter and milk in there, too. It's good.

actually funny story, of course I learned how to used chopsticks because OOH ANIME but I got so used to it that now it's easier to use.

Oh god... I did that without even thinking about it. I have fucking turned into a foreigner!




On the plus side, I seem to be completely incapable of remembering the lift/elevator translation. So many confused looks over the last year. The staff in my apartment building have gotten to the point where they understand what I mean and don't need it translated.

I thought I was good with chopsticks before I visited Shanghai for a week. Then we had to eat mystery meatloaf and weird slimy jellyfish things with them. I don't pretend to be an expert, but once you've eaten the variety of stuff I have with chopsticks you can just about manage anything.

e: My point was originally going to be that most noodle dishes are so much easier to eat with chopsticks once you get used to it. I hate going to new restaurants and getting given forks the first few times I eat there.

I used to eat noodles with chopsticks but I hated the fact that I couldn't get the last little bits. It was very depressing.

It's just something you have to do a lot of. Eat rice dishes with chopsticks just about every day for a 2-3 years and you won't even need to think about it any more.

This is coming from a family who loves stirfrys are rice.
