Did our Australian Leader Most Glorious, Tony Abbott, really say this following the recent legalisation on gay marriage in the US?

If all those nations jumped off a bridge and our population really wanted to also jump off a bridge would you do it? The last thing you should do in a democracy is listen to the will of the people. This isn’t a popularity contest - that’s just how we get in a position to say this isn’t a popularity contest.

	I don't follow Australian politics, but it does sound like something some tight up the ass politician would say, cause a shitstorm and then apologize for.

	Politicians do not apologise. They issue not-pologies that at best accept no responsibility at all for the outcry and usually make it sound like the offence was the fault of those offended.

	He said words that add up to the same meaning. But he didn't say those specific words in that specific order. Also, the fact of the matter is that marriage being equalised in the USA shouldn't affect at all whether Australia does it. Australia should do it simply because it's the right thing to do.

	Blogs were not well implemented in vBulletin 3. There's a lot of shit you can do in blogs that you can't do in posts. And a few things you can do in posts that aren't supported in blogs even though they should be.
