Hola!

I'm trying to locate information on a game I played way back on the PC around the time Abe's Oddysee was released, more than likely just after.

It starred a kid that was sucked into a different dimension out of his school, to face black creatures (perhaps called 'nightmares'). As far as I can remember, it was called 'Alone in the Dark', but all searches prove that wrong.

If anything, it was originally a French game.

Definately Heart Of Darkness. and the game is awesome. if you like that and want to play something similar to it, I would suggest Another World (coincidentally, made by the same people I believe)

Hmmm... I wouldn't describe it as 'awesome'. There were a few good moments, yes, but on the whole I thought it a tad sub-par. The ending was atrocious, possibly even beating out Monkey Island 2 for the 'Worst Game Ending Ever!' award.

Heart of Darkness. Got it from ‘a game I played way back on the PC around the time Abe's Oddysee was released’. Everything after that just confirmed it.
