3:00am adventures

Normal night last night up to a point. Went out and got drunk with some old friends. Was great catching up with them. Instead of going back to their place after I thought I would just walk home. Always a bad idea but it saves me taxi money and I love the fresh air.
I'm glad I chose to go home at that time. I was walking past a pub and I spotted a young girl curled up just outside of a small carpark. Because it was very late and the fact that she'd obviously had too much to drink and was alone, I immediately walked over to her. After asking her a few questions, it appeared she'd walked out of a club and had gotten separated from her friends. I've never been in this situation so I decided to ask her how she'd like me to help her in the situation. I suggested phoning her friends and she mumbled something about an ambulance. I phoned emergency services for the first time in my life and answered some questions. About 10 minutes later the police arrived (I was still quite drunk and started to get fucking confused and thought I was going to get arrested or something). The officers decided to get her phone and call one of her friends to come meet her. At this point I realised that might have been a better option but didn't think of it at the time. After talking for a bit they ended up taking her and her friend home in their van and we parted. I was glad she was going to get home safely.
Whilst I was waiting with her, she kept telling me not to go. Of course she didn't need to tell me this because I wasn't going anywhere.
Several groups of people walked by and their behaviour was pretty atrocious. I'd get groups of girls just shouting and telling me "she was having a moment". What the fuck? You as women should understand how dangerous it could have been for her had she not had someone with her. I'd also just get people walking straight by without asking if she was okay. I did get the odd stranger asking if she was though, which was nice.
Basically I'm just pretty disgusted at people. Mocking a defenceless person in the middle of the night. I completely understand it was her fault for having too much to drink. But people make mistakes and anything bad that may have happened to her wouldn't have been justified by her state. I just wonder what could have happened to her if nobody had helped her.
