I'm tired

Lemme keep this reeeeeaally condensed: Most of the weirdly unhappy blogs over the last 18 months are the result of going off medication I figured I didn't need but I'm actually a statistical anomaly and it's really good that I take it and now I'm taking it and

I'm hoping this has come across in my posting recently, but I'm doing a whole lot better. I've gotten back in touch with an assortment of you as well, and talking to people on the reg (rather than via baffling, often bizarre blog) is strangely enough pretty nice. I think I'm a much better poster than I was a year or two ago to boot, so yay for that.

Anyway, this medication treats a lot of incidentals my poorly-wired, putrefying brain can't handle itself, but a direct side effect of taking it later in the day than I'm supposed to is ETERNAL, UNBLINKING WAKEFULNESS.
I am switched on for a solid 16 hours after taking it and while I could take a sleeping pill, I am unfortunately on duty to help neuter an alpaca tomorrow morning and doing so at this point would mean missing this important duty. What, you think I'm joking? I absolutely am not, it's a real alpaca. Ungelded alpacas are mean, cigarette smoking, Eazy-E listening bad muthafuckas and my job is to...sort of lean on it, so it can't wriggle away from the GIANT NEEDLE WE STICK IN ITS NECK. Then a trained professional bites its ungulate nuts off with hideous tombstone teeth.

Alright, I'm going to sleep.

It turns out there were three Alpacas and one Llama. I was not nearly as squeamish about the procedure as I thought I would be, but I was operating on a splash of coffee and half a KitKat bar so that may have had something to do with it; my stomach being empty and all.
The process was not half as grisly as I presented it, though it was in a dirty barn with chickens scheming hither a thither. I love chickens, I think they're adorable, but they are schemers. They're always going around, plotting and scratching. I'll hopefully make a whole post about my criteria for farm animals soon.

I'll be back out there on monday, I promise to take a load unnerving American Gothic style shots of my glaring at critters.

I had this image of Llamas/Alpacas as fairly benign animals, but that's simply because of petting zoos. They are stinking, hyper-territorial cretins who will glare at you for as long as they can. James (the friend who operates the farm) can approach some of them, but for the most part they're big skittish stinkers. I don't want to reveal all of the creatures that reside there just yet, but amongst the smelly 4 leggeds and Machiavellian poultry there is something known as a guinea fowl.

If you don't care to mangle your ear drums: Guinea Fowl make horrible noises. Constantly. They will shriek and caw for no other reason than to be the loudest shrieker in the field. They also look like bags of meat.

@MA: No community is quite like OWF. I'm having trouble finding you through facebook though, I likely had you under my older FB account which is now inaccessible. I have the same profile pic on FB as here, so if you find me first, friend the weird chicken-man.

I'm not on Facebook. I can't stand that shit because I'm too paranoid.

Don't worry about it.
