Being 18

If the legal drinking age in the states was lowered to 18 it would still be higher than the legal driving age

you know why i think the US drinking age is so high in comparison to other countries? it goes back to the prohibition era. which goes hand in hand with the Great Depression. which also goes hand in hand with WW2, because we know war can give you resources/wealth. and then we're back to Nazi's.

seriously, WW2 and everything that happened leading up to it, during it, and after it, was absolutely imperative in achieving most of what we know as our modern-day society. a lot of shady deals and blackmailing between nations went on, and still fucking does, but maybe that's necessary? like insurance. "if you don't do this, we'll stop trade with you/if you want to go to war, you'll have to trade with us." or whatever, not necessarily trade. that's when you realise you can't just say "please can you not attack us? we'd be ever so grateful" to the leaders of a nation and expect an adequate outcome. the moment you say "if you do this i'll press the fucking button" you get an adequate outcome with a cherry on top, although i know it's not quite that simple.

i mean, Cuba. why are Cuban cigars still illegal? they're no different from normal cigars, other than being better in every way from normal cigars or competing industries trying to take a slice of the pie, but why, again? fucking politics. certain people still have their arses in their hands over Cuba. my point is an entire nation can be deprived of anything, from cigars and alcohol to fucking poop-scoops, because of the past and deviant motherfuckers plotting against their competitors in the rat-race.

or maybe i just don't know what the fuck i'm talking about.
