I wanted to try and let all the snow build up at the bottom of my monitor but much to my disappointment I realised it melts. Five minutes of my life wasted!

It's just too warm in your house. Try lowering the temperature to below 0'C / 32 F

Damn, if we hadn't installed central heating in the house this year it'd be about that now.

It happened several years ago. I've wanted it to happen every year since, but either I would forget about it until it was too late or Peter would never get around to doing it. However, in the last year I finally found out how to alter forum templates, so I could do it myself.


It's just you. The only change to the server is that a few lines of text are inserted when you load the main page. The JavaScript is hosted elsewhere and the processing happens on your computer. And nothing at all happens if you're not on the main page.

What are you guys talking about? Is it a desktop thing?

But seriously this does cause a bit of browser lag for me. I remember last time Alcar used this (2008) it actually crashed my computer. To do anything here I had to jump straight to subforums.

I'm pretty sure there's a thread called Snow where we all bitched and moaned about it.

Phylum: I don't think this is the same script that Alcar used last time. The effect will be different.

Also, you must have a shitty computer if it's causing a significant effect this time.

My computer is a beast and I get stuttering when I scroll down the page.
