You could try nuking it with raw garlic if you can stomach it and don't mind smelling terrible for a day or two. Works vs flu (from experience, as a last resort when I can't stand feeling like shit anymore) but I dunno if it works against more serious viral infections.

Turns out it was just pleurisy. Very, very similar symptoms. Feeling somewhat better today.
